Looking for a song/group...can you help?

Postby Faymore » Wed Feb 08, 2006 8:11 am

Ok, I am looking for a song to do a new tribute to. I am not looking for just anything though. I am looking for something with:

1)A good strong beat.

2)At least 2 areas where the beat takes off.

3)Songs in english.

4)NOT any of the following songs/bands because i have done it or it's been done to death; Linkin Park, Judas Priest, Rob Zombie, Down With the Sickness, Angel Dust, Offspring, Limp Bizkit or Let the Bodies Hit the Floor.

5)something people like and will listen to without finding the song boring.

Just give titles of songs and the writer if you will please...i am all out of ideas x.x....thanks....

The only one i can think of right now is an 8min song by a really good Finnish band (though it's in English) called Fantasmic and it's by Nightwish..

They're Russian. And done to death. Looked on the most (over)used music lately? They're like number 5 or 6.

Try something by Blind Guardian. Let's see, why not... When Sorrow Sang... or The Curse of Feanor. Both can be found on the "Nightfall in Middle Earth" album.

hahaha Russian?

your sarcasm goes too far :?

Unless it wasn't sarcasm, then...-_-

However, I agree strongly on 'The Curse of Feanor' being used under any circumstances. Though...the original poster was very very vague on what he wanted.

That is because there are only a few things i really do not want to use...oh and one more thing to add to the list...

No songs over 5 minutes please...i am already working on one that has taken me over a month to get halfway done and i need something shorter to take my mind off it lol.

PS. I am dl'ing all songs mentioned so far. If i use any i will give the person that gave the idea for the song credit in the tribute ^.^

I'm impressed you can FIND Blind Guardian at wal-mart.

And, Shadow, I probably am wrong; I don't care enough about Nightwish to know where they're from.

Blind Guardian doesn't NEED to be edited; I'm saying, they're too out of the "main stream" to be in Wal-Mart's line up.

I couldn't find Dragonforce OR Dragonland. And those two aren't exactly small bands. Dragonforce in particular.
