ProgPowerUSA VII - Complete Lineup

Postby rubyeye » Fri Jan 27, 2006 5:46 pm

Evergrey
Mercenary
Freak Kitchen
Savage Circus
Pyramaze
Nevermore
Epica
Thunderstone
Vision Divine
Wastefall

Well, what do you guys think? Personally, it sounds like a 'dud' year for PPUSA. Vision Divine is the only one I even remotely enjoy while the rest are completely unknown or simply don't care for.

Dud year? Evergrey, Mercenary, Savage Circus, Nevermore, and Epica are duds? Those first four should at least be good live bands, but I dunno about Epica.

True. And for many of them this is probably the first time they played in the US. I listened to all these bands but they are not anything I would get excited over. I'm sure they will kick ass live, It's just not a lineup I would care to see.

Well, I'm a big fan of Evergrey and Nevermore, and I like what I've heard of Mercenary. It seems like it could be a good show, but I probably can't go anyway.

Well altough there's no possibility for me to come I can really recommend to take a look at the ferstival this year because Evergrey, Thunderstone (even though their cheesy) Mercenary and Savage Circus are skilled bands with a good live performance.

Nevermore are amazing live. Watching Loomis's hands is mezmerizing.

Fuck. See, they were playing at GiganTour in Chicago, but my ride was fucking four hours late, so we only got to see the last two bands. I don't get a chance to go to many concerts either. We missed Symphony X too, and watching Romeo's hand is also pretty mezmerizing.

I missed them on Gigantour too (I got there during DEP's set), but I saw them with Opeth on Halloween in Philly. It was awesome. Warrell had a cold though, so his singing wasn't up to par
