I'm obsessing over Matisyahu ( a jewish Reggae performer from New York who flat out fucking rules), Deep Puddle Dynamics (hip-hop group, very expiremental and dark) and Primus (again).
I fear the little people.

At the moment im full into Arch Enemy My God they Rule\,,,/
I squeeze my fists and curl my tongue, calling out a roaring shout. I break the barriers, and explode in gold. Hundreds slaughtered, no remorse. Each battle feeds my needs. Arising each with higher force,no limits to my building greed.

I like a whole variety of music, but Children of Bodom is by far the best band in the world! 8-)

This is hard for me.

In the case of English rock, my fav bands of the moment are A Perfect Circle, Tool, Disturbed, and Evanescence. (i might end up adding Nine Inch Nails to that if i end up listening to their music and/or going to that concert i heard about.. *hasn't listened to them in a while*)

In the case of Japanese rock, my fav bands of the moment are Plastic Tree, Rentrer en Soi, SID, and PIA. (*clings to Plastic Tree* I've loved this band for a long time now and still do and i've even been finding more of their songs and stuff and i still love them!)

In the case of Japanese pop, my fav singers are Yuu (i've only heard Hachisu by her and i've been super in love with it ever since then..i have it on CD ^^) and Arai Akino (mostly for Kuro Tane and Yousei no Shi).

In the case of music from other places, Nightwish is on top! They're a band that originated in Finland, and they're music is gothic-like and Tarja (the lead singer) has a very opera-like voice, which can make the songs seem darker (except in the case of a song called Nemo). All of their songs that i've heard (and i've heard alot) are in the English language though, but with a small, different accent.

(Btw, i don't just love Japanese music because of it's sound, but it's lyrics too.. I can understand a little Japanese, but alot of times, if i like a song, i'll try to find the translation to the lyrics or use an online translator and translate it myself..)

I want that DVD. I saw the clips on their site, and goddamn, their touring bassist owns.

Too bad she recently got kicked out by the rest of the band for being a diva. Once was the first CD I bought by them even though I'd heard every other album by Nightwish before.

Stuff I've been hung up on lately:
    A.C.T - Today's Report
    Consortium Project (Ian Parry)
    Devin Townsend Band - Synchestra
    Eldritch - El Nino
    Secret Discovery - Pray
    XSavior - Caleidoscope
Zero Hour - A Fragile Mind

Dark Tranquillity. \m/

After my insanely long Opeth/Pain of Salvation/Hourglass kick.

PilOt

I only discovered them a day ago, but they certainly raise the image of youth-oriented rock music in my eyes by a lot. And Russian popular rock in general. Very artsy, excellent lyrics work. And the girls must love 'em too, since the guys in there are good-looking.
