Now here's a quarky vampire series to check out!

Basically it's about a cute vampire named Karin who is not your normal, everyday vampire. While her family are all blood-sucking ones due to lack of blood, she on the other hand produces too much blood in her system. Because of that, she transfuses blood into her victims. Karin practically lives a normal life like going to school as a schoolgirl until the day a guy name Kenta entered her life.

Alright, here are a few character profiles (well, only 2 for now, and they're not really profiles  ):

Image

Karin Maaka, the blood-giving vampire who occasionally gets nosebleeds. She's pretty cute, and quite sexy. 8-)

Kenta Usui. And yes, he seriously resembles to Ichigo from Bleach and Seiji from Midori no Hibi. Overall, he's the hard-working type since he and his mom are pretty much struggling through life (he doesn't really eat much though).

And finally, don't let the OP sequence fool you; J.C. Staff thought it'll be more quarky if they made it ridiculiously ecchi (not that I'm complaining  8-) ).

Yeah, I like this series. It's funny ecchi vampire stuff. The premise of Vampire affinity is neat too. [won't spoil it for ya, but that's a hint...]

Karin has a great body...
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

I personally thught the manga was better mainly cause they seem to throw in some random character into the anime (maybe he's in the novel?)

Probably that they changed the story a little for the anime, linda like they did for Mahoraba. I definately enjoyed this series, but have not read the manga, so I don;t know abotu it being better or worse than it. It just ended at Episode 24, and the character you speak of is important to the ending, so I have a feeling they changed it completely from how it probably ended in the manga. It was quite a cute show though. Everything is so embarasing to Karin  Even the end.

Though is it just me, or has Karin's breasts been growing bigger and bigger as the episodes progressed?

Of course this REALLY solidified my suspicion in the last episode with that "ritual"!

Fun series overall. This is not something I would buy right away, but I will grab a few volumes at a time once it gets licensed here. And Kenta's mom is hot! 8-)

When i saw the title say 'Karin', i thought this was a thread about 'Karichama Karin', lol.

I haven't seen this series, but it sounds really interesting to me.. Maybe i'll pick it up once it's licensed..idk yet.. > >

I was a big fan of the manga, and was so happy to hear it would be turned into an anime. I've watched all the episodes and I loved it, even though it strayed far away from the manga series after episode 5. It may not have all the dark tones of the manga, but it was a very nice, cute, and romantic series. Very entertaining series indeed.

i cant believe they didnt show Usui Kenta's dad in the anime version, he's like the most hillarious character in the manga. :(

This series is definitely worth watching, if for nothing else than the wrath of the slipper. More series need a character like the mother. Great amv material too, I've already made one to it.
