Motion Affects and the Evil Lines

Postby Yogurtron » Sat Sep 28, 2002 6:37 pm

Whenever I do motion effects with premiere, no matter what footage I use, I get interlace lines in the final product when I've used the effects. I try to use the "smooth motion" thing but that doesn't really help all that much. Is there any way to have motion effects in my videos that don't leave ugly interlace lines?

If it looks interlaced, two places to check.

In project settings under Keyframe & Rendering.

Look for Fields, make sure it says "No Fields".

Then right click on your clip with motion on it, checke under Video Options|Field Options, uncheck "de-interlace when speed is under %100".

Also make sure your project is setup to use the same settings as your videos, resolution, frame rate. :\

Klinky is right, check the "no fields" option and check the de-interlacing. If taht doesn't work you'd have to take the last resort method (which I had to) and re-render al the clips where the interlacing shows up and manually mess with their fields. It's a pain in the ass so I hope for your sake that the first method works.
