Um, no, because Duo Maxwell beats him out ten times over for being the coolest/most annoying/best looking American in anime... that and he's got the whole "Pilot of the Giant Mother-Lovin' Robo of Death" thing going on.

Goyjo's not American. He's a demon-human hybrid of multi-racial origins.

Besides, I was j/k about the late entry. I've been on a Saiyuki kick since last night, after I discovered on the Internet complete translations (note, NOT scanlations) for the as-yet unpublished Saiyuli Gaiden manga chapters. Whee!

Not saying I retract Goyjo as a good Mr. Universe candidate (he's certainly the type to go for this title, after all). Regarding Jianyi, looks like he doesn't shower often, and I daresay Mr. Anime Universe should be cleanly. ^_^
