Yes, I'm using Adobe Premiere 6.5; so what needs to be done to correct the problem? Hopefully its something simple.

So Qyot27, what do I do to fix that problem in Premiere 6.5?

1. Use the multi-select tool to highlight all the clips in the timeline. Zoom out so you can see all the clips, click after the timeline ends, and drag until the clips are selected.

2. Go to Clip->Video Options->Field Options

3. Make sure that 'Deinterlace When Speed is below 100%' is not checked.

4. Re-export. You might want to save first.

Sorry about waiting so long for this, but yes, Sunday Bloody Sunday worked. Do you still have the link to the YouSendIt address? I screwed up and didn't title it correctly (I had been thinking something was screwy about it, and then I realized the problem was that the title text was too small), and unfortunately I had already deleted the title-less copy. Entirely my fault this time.

Let me know when you've downloaded it so I can delete it. I figure this is easier than pestering about replying with the file attached to the email crap.

Yeah, I downloaded it this morning. I've got it all sorted out and correctly titled now. I don't know when I'll be able to update the website to reflect it, but it should be soon.

I'd like to do
49 - Olivia Newton-John - Physical
. No idea on the anime yet, though it shouldn't be too hard to find something fitting.

Two things though, is this project meant to be silly (like the AMVHell projects, where the footage had little to do with the audio, or totally ridiculed it) or let it stay close to the lyrics of the song. Also, being a betamax project and all, do we gotta make the footage look old (yellow-ish graphics, white lines) or just use the normal DVD footage?

edit: for the second song, I'd like to use
54 R.E.O. Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You
. I'm thinking of using Kimi ga Nozomu Eien footage since that's what I'm working on currently and I'm kinda knowing the series inside out now. The above questions still stand tho. Oh and about 4-5 pages down, you said something about the wanted visual quality. Could you clarify this somewhat? What colorspace to use for example? Some guidelines would be appreciated.

It's really up to the editor where they want to take the segments (within reason, of course; there's nothing wrong with being light-hearted - I mean, I'm putting "Tainted Love" to Hellsing, whenever I find the time, and video sources, to actually edit my segments - if anyone can pick up on the inside joke with that combination, I applaud you). If it's too mismatched, I do reserve the right to point out that it should stick closer to the song, however. Of course, mismatching is in mine - and others' - subjective opinions, but Dragon Ball Z set to "Heartbeat" (track 14) just won't work, especially when surrounded by other serious segments. As long as it's nothing that outrageous, it's fine.

No, it doesn't have to look like an old tape. It's perfectly fine to have normal-looking DVD footage. If I put any gimmicky aged-tape effects into the project it'll be during the opening or ending, not the actual 115 segments.

Well, seeing as how I'm putting the titles onto the video with Premiere, it's kind of a moot point since Premiere outputs in RGB (usually), and for any encoding it'd have to be in YV12. I guess to keep the colorspace conversions to a minimum you should keep it in the colorspace your editor spits out, but I'll be performing (hopefully just one or two, depending on what exactly I have to do) conversions when I ready the final version of each segment. If everything goes smoothly, the only conversion I'd have to do is an RGB24->YV12 conversion on the titled version I export to Premiere, since I'm storing the finished segments with YV12-mode Lagarith.

If you're referring to the framerate issues, 23.976 is what I want it submitted in if at all possible, but I can convert it from 29.97 if I have to (23.98 and 24 fps are very easily just slowed down so there's not much problem there; I'm actually applying the titles at 24fps and slowing it back down to put the audio in afterwards). I'd just rather not if I can help from it.

Generally, though, as long as it doesn't have any glaring errors (Premiere's 'Below 100%' deinterlacing problem, for example, or washed-out video from too much filtering with AVISynth) it's something that I can handle - and probably will, once I get it ready for distribution.

Kay man, thanks for the answers. I'll be glad to help out doing those 2 songs at first, and maybe some more when I finish those.
