Yaoi-con 2005

Postby anneke » Mon Sep 12, 2005 12:44 pm

Other then the usual suspects...WTF, WiredKnight, etc... Speak up if your going to be at Y-con, expecially if your an AMV creator. Doesn't look like there will be an AMV panel, but I would like to arrange for a gathering of some sort for us creators. Our best bet may be friday if anyone is arriving early...

I'm going for the third time but i'm hosting panels that are not about AMV. They have a contest this year again so submit them soon if you are thinking about it.

I can't make it this year (thought the con was on a different weekend and made plans to go away the last weekend in October  ) but I am submitting amvs to the contest. Don't know if they'll make it in, just got the last one mailed today, but it may be too big. I've posted WiredKnight about it, but I'm not going to worry if it's in or not. Sure would like to go ...

Well today was the contest deadline for yousendit or postmarking your entries so I'll be working on picking out the videos for this year's contest.

Expect restructured voting, I'm sick of dealing with ridiculous nominations, people who nominate six videos for the same award and just plain illegible entries.

Also got my outfit picked for hosting this year's contest too

Can't wait to see the outfit. It's so nice to see a straight male embracing the good things that Yaoi con can bring you.

I think you mailed that you had received my entry...delivery confirmations says you have. Oh I can't wait...it's going to be alot of fun this year.

I entered 2 videos into the contest (even though I haven't recieved confirmation) Hopefully they make it in =D

But yeah, not entirely sure if I'll be able to make it. D: It all depends on whether I can get the money to go :< I'll probably try to maybe swing by for one day..

I wish I could go. It'd be cool to see my serious yaoi video actually compete (and hopefully win) at Yaoi-con.

Whatever it is, it's going to be H-A-W-T.

When's Yaoicon, this year? I turn 18 Oct. 5, perhaps I can convince people of a special birthday present...

Sorry about that, I've been VERY busy this year since it's my senior year in college so I'hve had a tremendous work load so I haven't had the chance to send out confirmation nnotices like I usually do. I'm more or less responding to them on a case by case basis so if you want to know if I got it, either e-mail me or PM me and I'll check.

What time are people arriving? Would a dinner on Friday work out? An Early dinner around 5pm/6pm before all the events occur or just after openning ceremonies?

Waah! I won't be back in time for the AMV contest. I'm out of town and won't be back until late Sunday. I know my amvs have no chance but it was so great just seeing them on the screen last year and hearing everyone's reactions.

There appears to be a redux of the contest 9am-11am on Sunday.
