Actually, I'm pretty sure many of his videos were uploaded to the 'Org. From my Star Ratings page:
Tom the Fish Mokushi des ne (Boku genki des yo) Aug 11, 2003 4
Tom the Fish There's No Need to Feel Down Apr 11, 2004 5
Obviously I picked these up from local. I'm guessing Tom requested his videos be deleted and they were. They probably *shouldn't* have been, but they were...

We do have backups of the videos but are debating whether or not to put them back up. We're still trying to decide whether or not the creator relinquishes their right to control the distribution of their videos when they upload to the local servers. In this case, it seems pretty clear that Tom the Fish doesn't want people downloading them anymore.
If you guys want to discuss this in general, maybe that should continue in this thread though.

I can see you'd have to careful about this. If he decides to be more of an ass, he can always alert the RIAA or another group to our site out of retribution. And since his vids aren't hosted here anymore, he's less likely to catch the legal flack that will undoubtly result when the admins are asked to provide info on all members...

If people request vids often, just have a sticky where people swap videos that are no longer available on the org. I don't think the thread will be getting much attention, but eh..

dokool wrote:But that's the point of the Proxy account - to upload videos that are no longer available. If Kevin Caldwell's vids can be uploaded, I don't see why Tom's can't...
