Banner Contest

Wow, there were almost 40 banners submitted and only 5 have made it.

I first became a member in January, and by that time there were little to no banners coming in. I don't remember if the ratio of discarded banners was so high...does anyone remember if that's the case now? No big deal, I am just curious.

And it looks like all 5 of the new banners on the winners page are fixed now

My first banner didn't make it. It was one of the 5

That can't the answer. There were a lot of them I thought would win that didn't.

It's not like I am complaining, mine is one of the winning ones..and had 115 votes *^_^*. I just didn't know if people were overwhelmed by choice and became really choosey or if it had always been this way.

I liked that one

It would be nice to use the off topic forum or have a banner forum where we could review or discuss what could improve or just comment on them. Sometimes a color change or text improvement can make all the difference in a good or bad banner.

In your case, changing text color to stand out or making the logo more clear may have made the difference of a few winning votes. The concept was good

I think I found out why i never appears, it gets rejected if it's over 20k and my is 19.7k.
