You just don't seem to let things go. Let me quote myself once AGAIN. " I would only assign an editor two tracks until they can show me a satisfactory segment(this means the editor's timing) and when they show progress in their work, like if they had finished with their other track."

My response to Niotex's beta: "Man..both of you guys segments are awesome.."

Me and AMV_4000 have been talking and I suggested we make the due date for the project earlier and he says we should set the due date for mid-September, the week before AWA. If anyone's going to be at AWA, look for LPR in CBR's room since it will be shown there, but no, it won't be premiering there. This only gives each editor two months to edit their segments and send them in. We hope to premiere the project September 23rd, a Friday of the following due date week. The due date for the project is September 17th, a Saturday. Please have your segments in by then. We can understand a few late ones. I'll be sending a PM to everyone in the project so they can get a heads up.

But that sounds exactly like "you can only have two tracks at any given time until you finish one".

Just wanted to say I am hopefully going to be doing the credits for this project.

SuperFusion said "Whoever does them the best" will do them, and so far no one else has offered except for me. 0o.

I'm going to be making a small beta of what I have in mind within the next few days, and if SF accepts, I'll need 3 seconds of your track without sound sent to me over AIM or MSN.

Just giving you guys a heads up if you want to do this early or help me out. ;)

SF: I'm with tech support again on the DVD-Rom, we'll see if it gets replaced. But I'm sure it will take a month or two.

Alright, here's the credits beta.

I can't think of anything that makes the first 10 seconds look less lame, though. Any Ideas?

I thought it was pretty cool but I didn't like the fact that I could see the edge of the clip, maybe you can zoom in a little? I also didn't like how it suddenly just switch screens. I think instead of zooming in the "Revolution Project" part you could have it coming up from the bottom of the screen and at that sound at 00:08, I think you should make the "Linkin Park" part go to the right and the "Revolution Project" part go the left. It'd be a better transition to the tracks, in my opinion. Instead of having the "Linkin Park" and "Revoultion Project" parts flowing on the side immediately, I suggest a more smooth transition. Maybe you can fade it in or maybe just start at at the bottom llike you were doing with the tracks. I would also like it if you had the "Linkin Park" and "Revolution Project" parts all the way at the end so that you could close the clip off a little off before the "Linkin Park" and "Revolution Project" text. I liked the tracks text, it seems to be a good text choice for the song selection. I also think you should have a little room before each tracks clip. It seems a little too crowded as you have it now. I also like the fact you were timing the text along with the beat. Why is "project" spelled "projeckt" in your beta?

Just a heads up....Me and SF had a talk...And I'm gonna be busy all my summer, leaving me no time to edit practically...I got like...10 days to edit...That's it...If I don't finish my editing, someone else would be able to take my segment...As I said, just a heads up.

You mean for the lensflare?
I also didn't like how it suddenly just switch screens. Okay. I can do that.
Instead of having the "Linkin Park" and "Revoultion Project" parts flowing on the side immediately, I suggest a more smooth transition. Maybe you can fade it in or maybe just start at at the bottom llike you were doing with the tracks.

Then it wouldn't match the music. I think what you had me do in the last quote will work fine.
I would also like it if you had the "Linkin Park" and "Revolution Project" parts all the way at the end so that you could close the clip off a little off before the "Linkin Park" and "Revolution Project" text.

I can do that without moving the text at the sides, so yey. I'll do it for this beta to show you, but if/when I actually make the credits, it will have to wait until the end to be added. It's "Clip", if you know what I'm talking about.
I liked the tracks text, it seems to be a good text choice for the song selection.

Why thank you. ;p
I also think you should have a little room before each tracks clip. It seems a little too crowded as you have it now.

I can't do that right now. I shortened the song to 2:30 so people wouldn't have to sit through really long, boring credits. If I put any more spacing in I think everyone's track won't fit. (Also synching the text to the music took two hours for one side. -stresses out-)
I also like the fact you were timing the text along with the beat. Why is "project" spelled "projeckt" in your beta?

Thanks, and because that's the way you told me to spell it in AIM when I first asked about doing the credits. Remember?
I kind of like it that way, but I don't think it would be a hassle to change.(Provided Adobe likes me that day).

TheUnlimited wrote:pretty cool... but that lens flare thingy seemed pretty cheesy..

That's what Kalium said too, since he's been my faithful beta tester at this point. But I can't think of anything else to synch to the little beat-y electronic-y sound thingy. I tried fading out the words, but it looks like something's missing. So when someone comes up with an idea instead of the lens flare, that'd be good and I'll implement.
(I also tried lighting effects on the text, but that looked exceptionally more cheesy than the lens flare did).

EDIT:
And here's another beta of everything you guys requested.
