Shit, I hope that wasn't my video entry. *looks for a hole to crawl in and die*

I'm pretty sure everyone has G4Tech-TV, Comcast bought TechTV and combined it with G4, a channel that they already owned, last year....

Nah, it's G4 in he States, and G4Tech-TV in Canada. Although it's basically the same channel, they have different logos and show scheduals. Even the websites are different.

Yes, like the influx of members after Anime hit it big on Cartoon Network. Those fans are the best, I love how they make thousands of crappy videos to those same shows over and over again.

/Heavy Sarcasm.

Maybe if it brought in an influx of new editors and not small-minded pop-culture anime fans*.

Just looking at general trends, there are a lot more fans then editors, I doubt there are many people who are really into anime that don't know about AMVs.

*I havn't seen tech TV so I don't know what kind of anime they play. Also, no offence to Cartoon Network fans, If you are mature about it then I don't care about your age or what you watch.

Yeah, I don't know what kind of shows they have either (we don't get Anime Unleased in Canada).

But, consdering that it IS Filter, I don't think all that many people actually check out the featured websites anyway lol.

Didn't see it but who knows... there can be a lot of good editors because of this. a lot of people start with crappy amvs and get a lot better, so yeah.... it's possible people who know - or at some point will know - what they're doing will join.

Exactly.

It was on for what, a minute? not even? How many people do you think were watching that particular segment at that particular time, and how many of those people are going to go on their computers and check out the site. Seriously, it's probably not going to be that big of a deal probably.

Well, I don't think anybody's saying the little feature is going to make or break the site o_o But hey, if it brings in a dozen or so new fans, right on.

Agreed, it just sounds like some people are saying that this little segment is going to mean the end of the site.

I live in the US. The station is listed as G4TechTV on my Direct TV guide page (it's prefixed "G4" since they limit the abbreviation to 4 letters)

Yeah, damn those people who watch anime, who do they think they are. Only editors are worthwhile human beings.

As for the sky falling - I'd wait, kids, and see what actually happens. And I think it can generally be a good thing to potentially reel in an entirely new group of watchers or editors. Word of mouth leads to like-minded people gathering in one place, which leads to homogeneity and boredom. So you might have the obnoxious 12-year-olds, or you might just have somebody who doesn't have a friend who's an AMV editor. OH HORRORS. Publicity is pretty cool. What happens afterward, well, you have no way of knowing until it happens. Do you.

The panic reactions are funny, though, keep 'em up.

It's the same in MN, which is why I assumed that it was all of the states had it.
