The first two volumes are out on DVD. There's 26 eps of insane-goodness. It's great if you love crazy, wierd stuff.

You forgot to mention that IT'S INSANELY FUNNY and greatly made! The dub is so amazing too! If you haven't seen my many reviews of Excel Saga, just check out my forum "The Ultimate Anime Battle : Dubbed Vs Subbed"

26 eps on the first two volumes? Don't you mean 9 eps on the first two volumes? Oh wait.. you meant 26 eps total... didn't you?

I also heard that Dragon Half is very funny as well. Despite it's 1993 date.

Yes, I meant 26 eps total. Fitting 26 eps on two DVDs would be damn-near impossible without horrendous quality loss. Re: HK Bootleg.

I think we can both agree that Exel Saga is frikken hilarious and a definite must-see. ^_^

Gundam. anything Gundam. except, of course, for the original MS Gundam and Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, which both suck.

I've only seen the Toonami Gundams, and I didn't see too much of Stardust Memory (I stopped watching Saturday Nights for the most part.). However, based off what I have seen, 8th MS Team is my recommendation for a Gundam series. I absolutely loved it.

I should get that and GW on DVD... (GW was second).

I might as well recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion, in subs if possible, but you have to be a good reader at some times.

Watch it only in doses, not all in one day. You'll feel like crap after.

Anyway, anime sucks...get over it.

As far as whats out, excel saga is a great choice..it is THE PARODY ANIME....(matrix parody any1?)
As far as NGE is concerned, i would watch it, but i recommend not spending too much money on it...you would feel jipped...that or watch everything of EXCEPT FOR EPS. 25 AND 26 and watch the movies (Death & Rebirth and End of EVA) instead. LEAVE EPS 25 & 26 ALONE....THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY OR ANY KIND OF LIGHT FOR THAT MATTER.

as far as fansubs are concerned...
Ai Yori Aoshi (omni reviewed it)
Saishu Heki Kanojou (omni reviewed it)
Samurai Deeper Kyo (omni said he reviewed it)
Chobits (omni reviewed it)
