All right, I promise I won't spoil it for you no matter what. (Unless you give me money, of course.) ;)

Good question. o_O I always thought it was a girl's name but if it belongs to a guy as well... I'll assume its a unisex name.

something i noticed when i saw a preview of the manga, it showed Ed missing just his leg, and even on the show, so how exactly does he lose his arm :?:

he lost them both, he lost one when him and his brother tried to bring back their mom, and then the other when he put Al's soul in the armor.

Didn't it all kind of happen at once?

Nope

First Al is completely taken and Ed loses his leg, and then he loses his arm when he brings Al's soul back and attachs it to the suit of armor. In a way it does happen all at once because the timeframe between the to events is like under a minute apart, it literally goes from one to the other.

Spoiler wrote:Nyar, if Ed only lost an arm in binding a soul to the armor, then what did the military lose from binding the souls of criminals to the suits of armor? You'd kind of notice an officer or two walking around without arms.

And why is it only an arm to bind a soul?

Mnyar? wrote:But... I still don't get it. Why is it the cost of an arm? The soul is leaving the body- it's kind of akin to recreating the dead, but instead of the original body, it's in the body of something else....

About the military. I'm not sure, but I'm betting they just used philosopher stones as to avoin losing body parts, either that, or they just sacrifice the prisoner to do it. (betting on the later)

Anyway, is Izumi a guy or a girl name? 'Cause thar's a boy Izumi in Full Moon wo Sagashite, and of course, girl Izumi in FMA. oO; Or it is one of those unisex names?

So far in anime 90% names have been unisex.Only a few havn't like most of the times ones that are for the main character and never used again.for example Inuyasha and Naruto.

Is it just me or is the manga of FMA quite a bit different to the TV series. I mean I have the 10th volume of the manga in japanese (not that I can read it) and in it

It gets a hell of a lot worse!!

Postby Yuki Rox My Sox » Wed Jun 01, 2005 9:42 am

It was sad! I cried so hard I woke my best friend up out of a very sound sleep and she sleeps like she's in a coma or something! Any way it can, does and will get worse. The episode right after is also pretty grusome. Ed and Winry get captured by a psycotic serial killer, who tries to hack Ed into little bitty pieces. If you have never seen it there are clips in the video "Voodoo". A very emotionally damaging video for me.
