Postby aurora » Sun Sep 15, 2002 11:03 pm

i'm just wondering where i should buy anime, i prefer to rent it, but the local stores are run by idiots : :? I mean, they have the first four episodes of cowboy bebop, and then they have the last four? what the heck?!

The absolute best prices I've ever seen are on http://www.bestprices.com I picked up the Evangelion box set for under $100! Plus, they usually sell single DVDs for roughly $18. Can't beat that.

You're stuck with Best Buy, it looks like. Or Ebay, some sellers accept money orders. One option that might be possible for you is to open a checking account and get a debit card.

If you can't buy online, you're gonna have to live with the In-store prices.

At least Best Buy is cheaper than, say, Suncoast or Sam Goody. Not as good selection, though, at least not in my area.

If you do decide to buy online (much cheaper, even though you have to wait longer) I second http://www.bestprices.com

Why in the hell hasn't anyone said Amazon.com? Also, Alphacraze.com is a good site, and both those two sites accept money orders.

www.animecornerstore.com has a very wide selection on DVD and VHS that is rarely out of stock, plus the prices are good.

www.amazon.com has good prices too, although sometimes they're out of stock on what you want and usually I find the other site has better prices than amazon. But sometimes this place gets really good deals on boxed sets.

amazon.com is great when you can find sellers who are selling dvds through them.. I got several of the Kenshin dvds (normally $30) for about $12 and they're new/factory sealed.
