Project Uploads!

Post by Kalium » Fri Apr 01, 2005 1:58 am

Finally, after enduring much Chinese Internet Torture[1], Torture of Many Low Video Quality Projects[2], and Anime Deprivation[3], derobert has caved in and created an interface through which oversize uploads can be requested! At long last, we can get all those multi-editor projects on local without breaking them up (I'm looking at you, AniMix).

To request permission, simply go to the video upload page, and obtain a username and password. Then, on the page with username and password, there will be a link allowing you to request an oversize upload, subejct to Administrator approval.

Notes:
[1]: Like the slow painful death of Chinese Water Torture, the victim's internet connection is killed a slow painful death via 1200-baud dialup connection. "To think we'd ever find a use for those old Bell protocols again" said an ITU spokesperson.
[2]: The Torture of Many Low Video Quality Projects is what happens when insufficient space exists for a long video, and the quality is drastically cut to make the video fit. They are extremely painful to watch.
[3]: Anime Deprivation is exactly what the name suggests - the victim is allowed to see no anime at all.

I've asked a mod or two on AIM and they confirm the legitimacy of this announcement.

Then again, guys; consider that Gmail was announced on April 1st, too.

If it is true, that is great news. I hope rose4emily gets in touch about Instrumentality shortly...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Google probably makes more money an hour than what gets donated to the org every month.
