Were and are, unfortunately.
It's a problem associated with hassle-free video hosting - some apparently decide that if you can use the site to upload something without charge, you can use it to upload anything without charge - and that rules are there to be broken.

But eh, so long as we have enough whistleblowers and not too many abusers around, this is manageable.

Either this or every single video needs to be checked by admins b4 they are posted on the site...

We've occasionally had 100 videos in a single day. This just is not possible.

Maybe we should take volunteers to do QA? I know that would require a semi-basic QA worklist system to be created, but could save headaches later when we might have to do more of this kind of thing as volumes keep increasing.

That or only let people who donate host videos.

I secound it!!!
It is a very good idea to have volunteers to do simple chores.
And it would take a lot of the pressure to the adms around here.

While the mod drop box is a nice place to inform the mods about such videos perhaps a "report this video" link could be added on the video profile page that creates a list for the admins to verify.

Another reason we need a karma system implemented here. Though Phade has been trying to find a good system that would work in our situation. I would just have harsh penalties for people who lied about the vidoes. Like banation or disable their uploading prividges.

I already do deny people upload and download access if they abuse the server.
