2005 VCA Nominations Begin
Hey All,
The nomination process for the 2005 AnimeMusicVideos.org Viewers Choice Awards has started. This phase it the most important phase of the voting process since once the list is created, no other videos can make it to the final round of voting. Nominating more than one video per category is greatly encouraged. Continue to suggest videos for each category in the shameless promotions forum. The nominations end January 31.
Good luck to all and have fun!! ^_^

I don't mean to be a party-pooper, but isn't having both categories a bit redundant? I read the description and although the difference is "simplicity" has "little to no effects" in the title and the other is "none," wouldn't having just "simplicity" take care of this?angelx03 wrote:Hey, there's two new catagories!
Best use of Simplicity
Best No-effects
I'm by no means saying we shouldn't include a new category. I actually like it.
Good luck to everyone and have fun!

Ok then I guess the question is... what exactly constitutes an effect?
If no one knows its there, does it count?
Are strobes effects? Color strobes? Fades? Changing the speed of clips? Doing jerky edits that might LOOK like an effect to some?
Or is it merely defined as those that didn't check the Digital Effects checkbox?

Ya, exactly. It *looks* like it's checking the "digital effects" box and then it's really up to the creator as to what constitutes an "effect." I personally think strobes and things like say moving the opacity bars or changing the color of a frame (say to B&W) isn't an effect, but perhaps others would.Zarxrax wrote:Ok then I guess the question is... what exactly constitutes an effect?
