Promoting some videos that aren't mine.

Postby Scintilla » Thu Jan 13, 2005 11:32 pm

But only videos that aren't already that popular.

<b>Comedy</b>

mckeed's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=50242">Cowboy Andy's Universe of Whatever</a>
How can you not love Cowboy Andy as George W. Bush?

ReannaKing's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=50687">Slayers CABARET</a>
Xellos runs the bar. The whole thing works out better than one would expect.

Sarah the Boring's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=52452">The Acceptance Speech</a>
"So what should it matter to me what you do in bed with guys?" Enough said.

IcyCloud's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=40103">Everyone Is Different</a>
Children's book meets Strong Bad meets anime. Hilarity ensues.

Joykiller's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=38818">Super (Freaky) Hero</a>
The kind of girl you read about in <i>Newtype</i> magazine? Yes!

Metro's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=30751">Telephone Love</a>
Noboru wants to know: Can you hear me now?

<b>Fun</b>

thistledown's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=38772">Turn, Turn, Turn</a>
Nicely segmented structure with clear transitions and a good amount of lyric synch. This one deserves more hits.

icenine0's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=51354">Kill Billpalazzo</a>
Note, this actually has nothing to do with <i>Kill Bill</i>.

Zahmira's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=35170">Narf!</a>
The Valentine Brothers ARE Pinky and the Brain.

thebrainy's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=35245">FLCL-SF-BYOB</a>
Another one I can't believe I haven't seen mentioned yet. What if FLCL was an action/espionage series... and what if it needed an opening sequence? This guy really knows his After Effects.

<b>Parody</b>

wirednerd1's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=31487">Neon Genesis Inuyashason</a>
Cruel Angel's Thesis meets Inuyasha. I approve.

jarnik's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=34681">Haibane Special</a>
Rakka meets Porco Rosso, Kiki, Lain, Chobits, and Noir. If you've seen Haibane Renmei, do yourself a favor and watch this. But try not to laugh too hard.

<b>Drama</b>

Ari-chan's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=50678">The Blue Haired First Child</a>
I can't believe this doesn't even have 350 hits yet.

trythil's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=33732">...and forever [dreaming]</a>
Just watch it. The song and video fit together superbly, and the visuals and the effects work are simply gorgeous.

<b>Trailers</b>

Maverick-Rubik's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=33278">PRPN</a>
FLCL vs. Peter Pan. Unfortunately this video isn't up for download, but I've got a copy if anyone feels like an AIM transfer.

Hitori's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=37955">The Bourne Identity</a>
Using RahXephon and some other stuff. Very nicely put together.

The 13th Man's <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=42292">Kill Il</a>
Probably the funniest trailer I've seen all year.

I'll post more if I think of them.

Yaaah, I have recommeded the Kill Bilpalazzo in that other variety thread. Do check some o those out too. ;) Indeed, that is EXTREMELY good as it is, let alone considering it's the creator's first video.

I'll second that for "Everyone is Different." Most Homestar AMVs are pretty blah, but this one is great.

Love ya, Scin, in that completely platonic way, but from the rules:

- it's the video that made you laugh the most but it's also the video that made you laugh not just because of the song or anime used but of the clever way they are put together and presented.

That's all I've gotta say. And a bit because it's Gravi.

Anyway, I'm snagging the things out of that list that I haven't seen yet. No comment otherwise. 8-)

Wow. That's quite a compliment from a guy who did what I thought was possibly one of the most technically outstanding videos this year.

Now how doany of my future vids ever live up to that? :?

...oh, and love for "Everyone Is Different." "Football" is great for people who like "random automatically equals funny" humor, but EID is a different sort of humor. *thumbs-up*
