First Time AMV Contest Submissions

Post by RipperX » Tue Jul 09, 2002 1:23 pm

Hi all,

This is my first time contest submissions and I wanted to know some stuff from experienced people.

What's the most common format that everyone one sends in? I know that some take mpeg-1, mpeg-2 , etc . But does that mean that they take in teh mpeg-2 format SVCD or DVD? Or is it even possible to format someting to DVD mpeg-2 standards and burn it on a cdr if it fits?

If anyone wanna share their contest experiences that'd be great.

I think that the best thing you can do is to email the person responsible for the contest and ask him/her the format they would like for the submission.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

The most common format is...
...
...
...
...whatever the individual con wants.

VHS with Mpeg2 video codec is my method. It's generally the most acceptable to almost every con out there.
