Well, why not check out the tracks and tell us your top 3 picks, for starters?

I think we're at track-picking-and-coordinating stage at the moment.

fair enough, here's mine then:

8:17 - 10:08 : bridge/thematic break
2:14 - 4:45 : Journey Section
6:30 - 8:17 : character profiles

even if i can come up with an idea for something it'll have to wait as i have a lot to do at the moment what with the Tool project, Linkin Revolution, college and some personal projects i want to start, but i'll get thinking about what i could do...

Ouch.

Don't really know what to say (in a public forum). Lemme hit you with a PM about it.

The Sinistar avatar kinda makes any sincere expressions of regret meaningless, though.

RUN, COWARD! I HUNGER!

Hrm.

I still like the same sections.

They were two seperate ideas, and I am a big fan of multi-posting (I don't want to be held to mere double-posting).

OK, I'm back and ready to start assigning sections. Now if only more than 4 people signed up.

Zaphod_Beeblebrox wrote:if you're gonna start PM-ing people, put me on the list, i've been keeping an eye on this for a while, i just haven't had anything to say that might have meant anything.

The PMs would just be to let people know that we have a final track listing and submitions are being accepted.
I think I will send out PMs. I know there are more interested editors than this...

Important:
This depends on how many people end up being interested but due to the small number of slots as well as the plot-based nature, I will probably not be assigning sections to people who don't have at least a basic discription of what they will do with it. This causes people to think about their choices instead of just picking something that sounds cool and may reduce timeline problems down the road.

Alright, I'm going to start editing within the next two weeks, and probably earlier.

Since I only have a concrete idea for the first segment, I'm wondering if anyone has any objections; otherwise, I'll give it a try the first chance I get. If it doesn't work out, I'll know fairly quickly. Then I'll probably just think of another section.

Ok im in definetly. Im just having a bit of trouble choosing my 3 favorite sections. I cut up the mp3 into the varios sections to try and get a beter grip in the pieces individualy. Problem is this genre of music is prety new to me (though I have bein into intrumental music for a long time, just not rock). However it is slowly growing on me (I realised that the more I listened to when the water breaks, the mroe I began to enjoy it. guess its a sort of "aquired taste"). My favorite section would have to be 8:17-10:08 Bridge/Thematic Break . 4:45-6:30 Drums, Driving Rythm and 14:33-16:25 Journey Reprise close behind it. However I wouldnt mind editing with the other sections iether. As far as planing goes, I dont real have anything too concrete but I'l probably end up using argentosomal like I said earlier. Im thinking of mixing the fast paced mech battle scenes with the slower/emotional scenes, composing the scenes so they act as one, instead of having clearly defined scenes of each.

OK, I've just sent out a bunch of PM's to people to get things moving. I hope to have tracks assigned before people (read: me ) go on christmas break.

DrngdKreationz: Haven't put much thought into the ending credits yet since we're still getting off the ground. However, I did have one thing come to mind: In a lot of the big projects it's imposible to figure out who did what. Since there will not be as many editors in this one I think we will probably want credits that go through the editors one by one and incorperate some footage from their section. Also I think we will probably be getting rid of the ragtime ending.

All: Reading back through the thread to send out these PM's I am amazed at how far this project has come since it's inception. I had my doubts before, but no longer. The lines are being drawn, we are no longer a couple of editors sitting around thinking "wouldn't it be cool if..." we are going to make this work. I have confidence in the editors that have helped shape this project. So get those editing stations warmed up and get ready, cause there's no turning back now.

The points are of general concern so I'll answer them here.

1. Deadline. I'm a little hesitant to put a deadline up because I don't want people rushing things or puting things off till the end. The way I see it, the quality of the final project is what matters the most, if someone finishes a segment and has to wait for a while I don't think that is a huge problem. If one part of the project is really languishing behing the others I will take steps but it shouldn't be an issue. Just start you segment as soon as you can and keep making progress till it's done and everything should be fine. If you finish before other people you can help beta test and polish your segment.

2. Theme. Just to clarify: The theme for this project is pivitol moments in life. The key thing to think about is plot. Each 2:00 section will have a difrent storyline and I will find a way to tie them all together at the end. There needent be any age order involved.

3 Name. I'm considering changing the name from ProjeKct Liquid Dream to ProjeKct Life. The first one has better flow but the second one describes it a bit more accuratly. I would appriciate if people would wiegh in breifly on the subject.

Hrm, you could called it Projeckt Pretentious Spellingh for all I care. :)

Names are just tools, so whatever floats the boat. I like both names.

Projeckt Liquid Dream is catchy, and it doesn't necessaily invalidate the theme of life's turning points (in fact, it's might allow a bit of expansion of the theme into the 'liquid dreams' of life, they flow and change from one point to the next).

Actually, come to think of it, Projeckt Life, while a minimalist and to the point name, is exactly that, minimalist and to the point. That's either a good thing or a bad thing.

Stil it's up to you. :)

hey I just realised I never got a PM :? Am I in this or what?

Anyway (in case I'm in) I've thought over things a bit and planned things a bit beter, in my head at least. In argentosoma the main character witnesses his girlfreind get killed, his face gets badly scared in the incident and from then on its a fight for revenge. Thats the first epp and if I say anymore I'l spoil things. I want to do something based on his depresion and anger at the loss of his gf. Like I said before I want to mix the action and the emotional scenes togeather. Im thinking that I could use the action to amplify the emotion.

Anyway what do ya think penpen? (
