Somewhere In Time is such a class album :D so underrated...

np: Savatage - Gutter Ballet (live)

'nuff said. Love these guys...
Truth.
Bah, tried to download some Savatage songs but couldn't find one.
Especially not the one I wanted: "This Isn't What We Meant"
Love that song.
~~~
Right now I'm listening to:
Pastora ~ Lola
Do know she's saying something, do know Spanish...
But what is she saying? :roll:
Still her voice is appealing somehow, sensual.
"No me llames dolores llamame lola,
La que siempre va sola por barcelona
Buscando follon
Ay, ay, ay, lola"
:roll: Oh well...
MarioKart64 Sountrack Greatest Hits - Moo Moo Farm
This song is just gold. Lively happy music.
: D
Half a year back or so, I was explaining to my friend about how I video edit. He then, randomly out of the blue one day, gave me the Mario Kart64 OST. I was really happy.
Yeah I love this soundtrack. I highly recommend it to the other Mario Fans out there :idea:
Evanescence - Thoughtless (Korn cover).
It's a live song off of their new dvd 'anywhere but home'. I love Amy Lee's voice; it's prettyful. And they made the song more of a melody-type thingy, which rocks.. although Korn's original, more heavy version is really cool too.
And before that I was listening to 'pure heart', the aeris song with Rikki's vocals. I listen to so much different types of music... :roll:
Robert Fripp - November Suite
What better time to listen to this?
Technically, this is what you'd call an album; in actuality, it's just a summary of a 4-hour Soundscape performance at Green Park Station, a shopping centre in England somewhere. How and in what context this appeared is fascinating in itself (this is not your typical mall muzak, by any measure); the music alone is remarkable.
Just started the first section of November Suite proper (the album consists of two intermeshing suites - Green Park Suite and November Suite).
The november colours come out vividly - have you ever tried picturing november colours? Well, that's the sound.
It doesn't have the longing and personal touch of 'A Blessing of Tears', but the texturisms and mood here are absolutely remarkable. This is, for lack of better description, music I'd want to die to.
Korn ~ Dead Bodies Everywhere.
Do believe it's a great song to listen while washing the dishes...
And when you're mad at friends and/or family.
Eh, it's something. :roll:
Rob Dougan - Furious Angels
Mostly because it's what popped up on internet radio, but it's still one of the songs I like most. It's electronica, with a beat I can dance to, and it has a really dramatic feel to it. Or at least I think it does.
In the end, there is only yourself, yourself and the lies that you've told.
Can you live with it all when this world's true reality has been unfurled?
Spread the wings you've made, for good or ill, and take to the sky;
Prove that good and evil, angel and demon, we are all meant to fly.
Modest Mouse ~ Satin in a Coffin.
"You were laying on the carpet
like you're satin in a coffin.
You said, "Do you believe what you're sayin'?"
Yeah right now, but not that often.
Are you dead or are you sleepin'?
Are you dead or are you sleepin'?
Are you dead or are you sleepin'?
God I sure hope you are dead."
Love this song, the lyrics, the musical arrangements, all of it.
311 ~ Love Song
The Cure did it first and they did a good job of "updating" it.
Aerosmith ~ Angel
This is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Love, adore, go crazy over it.
The Beatles - Birthday
You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too--yeah
They say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you.
Yes we're going to a party party
Yes we're going to a party party
Yes we're going to a party party.
I would like you to dance--Birthday
Take a cha-cha-cha-chance-Birthday
I would like you to dance--Birthday
Dance
You say it's your birthday
Well it's my birthday too--yeah
You say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you.
Another yet great song by The Beatles.
Upbeat and fun.
I've been listening to it lately time to time ever since my dad's birthday a week ago.
"Our Farewell" - Within Temptation
A really sweet, sad song, but yet it's so full of hope. It's off their first album "Mother Earth". Really good band, Dutch, and the singer has an incredible voice.
In my hands
A legacy of memories
I can hear you say my name
I can almost see your smile
Feel the warmth of your embrace
But there is nothing but silence now
Around the one I loved
Is this our farewell?
[CHORUS]
Sweet darling you worry too much, my child
See the sadness in your eyes
You are not alone in life
Although you might think that you are
Never thought
This day would come so soon
We had no time to say goodbye
How can the world just carry on?
I feel so lost when you are not at my side
But there's nothing but silence now
Around the one I loved
Is this our farewell?
[CHORUS]
So sorry your world is tumbling down
I will watch you through these nights
Rest your head and go to sleep
Because my child, this not our farewell.
This is not our farewell.
:cry:
And thats quickly followed by:
"Bittersweet" - Within Temptation
Another sweet song, but only sad this time. No real hope in the lyrics. Well, maybe a little bit. Like the title says, it's bittersweet.
Gentle Giant - Excerpts from Octopus (live)
I've already written about this 70's prog gem a couple of times here. In any case, as intricate and renassance-influenced as they are, they can also be rather fun in a plain rocking sense of the word...
"My name is Panurge, and I have come......
FROM HELL!"
The way that line goes never fails to get me excited :roll:
"Angels" - Within Temptation
This is a song that anyone with a horror-ex can relate to, lol. Like if you dated someone and they turned out to be a total liar/slut/psychotic bitch/bastard or all of the above.
It's off their second album, "The Silent Force"
Sparkling angel I believed
you were my saviour in my time of need.
Blinded by faith I couldn't hear
all the whispers, the warnings so clear.
I see the angels,
I'll lead them to your door.
There's no escape now,
no mercy no more.
No remorse cause I still remember
the smile when you tore me apart.
Chorus:
You took my heart,
deceived me right from the start.
You showed me dreams,
I wish they would turn into real.
You broke the promise and made me realise.
It was all just a lie.
Sparkling angel, I couldn't see
your dark intentions, your feelings for me.
Fallen angel, tell me why?
What is the reason, the thorn in your eye?
I see the angels,
I'll lead them to your door
There's no escape now
no mercy no more
No remorse cause I still remember
the smile when you tore me apart
Chorus
This world may have failed you,
it doesnt give you reason why.
You could have chosen a different path in life.
The smile when you tore me apart.
Repeat chorus
