Hey,

I'm very dispointed. :?
That's the point of this thread: to get better names for the server. Currently, "Nago #2" will be known as "Gaia". Next up is a new name for "Kuno #2" (the backup mirror of Gaia).

Well if that one will be Gaia, I'd recommend naming the backup "Terra" just to be relevant... unless you want only 4-letter names. 8-)

Yeah, but Yggdrasil is a reference to Ah! My Goddess.

Yggdrassil is also a gigantic tree in Norse mythology that connects all the realms. It means "horse of Yggr," so you could abbreviate to Yggr. Although, technically, Yggr is one of Odin's names... I think. I've never seen AMG, so that's what I thought when I heard it.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

That's exactly the idea. It's the Yggdrasil of Norse mythology, the system that supports the world. Thus, in that setting, it's a giant magical computer.

Yeah, I got that. That's why I suggested the abbreviation. And I just checked on the meaning of the word Yggr, and it also means "dreadful."

OK, um, maybe not that. Perhaps "Yggy", as derobert suggested earlier.

Hey,

Is there a character / term that means "backup for the world" or "servant to the world" or "right-hand man to the world"? With Gaia meaning the Earth, this last machine is the backup for that one.

Of course, Kuno's and Nago's names don't really have any real relationship...

Aes Sedai comes to mind. From the Wheel of Time, it means 'Servant of All'.
