If the type of music could determine your psychology........

Postby Digital Kieran » Mon Sep 09, 2002 11:40 am

I dont know if this question has been asked before, but here goes

If the type of music you listen to can determine your psychology, would you be non- narcotic sissy pansy, boring, sane, insane, suicidal, two steps away from serial killer, or what the f**k, your choice

Me, I'm in the last type, and here is why

I listen to R&B and hip-hop, the ones by artist that know what the hell they're doing like Method Man, Redman, DMX, Biggie, Tupac, Ludacris, Mary J Blige...etc

I listen to rock like Creed, Nickelback, Default, Unwritten Law, Weezer, Lit, Green Day, Offspring,etc...

Then the harsh apocalyptic shit that after you listen to it a few time makes you want go out and kill people like Disturbed, Korn, Puddle Of Mudd, POD, Metallica, Rob Zombie....and I started out as a black kid weened on Motown....WTF?

And even on some occasions, Beetoven, Bach, Handel, Mozart, and other clasical music

So, do the stuff you lsiten to say what type of nut you are

If that were the case, I'd be a 50 year old Brazilian male ex-revolutionary.

I can listen to almost anything. What that says about me, I have no idea.

Hmm, I listen to a lot of stuff, but I'm partial to industrial type music. I would guess I would be classified as a dystopian sociopath of sorts, based on that. Then again, I listen to the Pet Shop Boys, so I really don't know where I stand.

Probably tonedeaf or downright weird, I prefer not to think of myself that way ^_^

I listen to primarily classical music or music that emulates the classical "style" with more modern instruments... not sure what that says. Perhaps it's telling me I was born a couple decades too late ^_^;

From DK's list: probably boring & relatively sane...

My household has already figured out who we would "be" based on our music preferences - our housemate would be an angsty teenage goth girl (he isn't), my sister would be a guy in his mid-30s with a mullet (uh, she isn't), and I would be a 45-year-old gay man from somewhere in Europe.

Uh, which I'm not.

Anyhow, it just goes to show you how much stereotypes suck. ;)

Well going by stereotypes...

I would be... very confused. :D

Well let's see here, my favorite types of music are these (I'll group them):

Progressive Metal, Heavy Metal, Symphonic Death Metal
New Wave, Techno, Euro, Electronica, Ambient, New Age, Trip Hop
Classical, Soundscapes, Meditative, Guitar Masterpieces
80's Pop, 80's Rock
Grunge, Alternative, Punk

Ugh... I know I'm forgetting some. Genres are so restricting.

No, I'm saying that the bands I listen to make a lot of songs about liking boys.

I don't use that word as an insult, dude. Ever.
