DDR Project 5 - Supporter Sig Banners

Post by Garylisk » Sat Oct 23, 2004 1:44 am

Edited from the original, more info added so the whole thread doesn't make no sense.

Well, seeing as how I was upset that there was going to be no 5th DDR Project, I made some banners for people to put in their sigs if they wanted to support the making of a new project.

Then I deleted this first post using the edit funtion after being bombarded with discouragement and feeling like a total idiot, noob, waste of space, etc...

Thus AD's post at the bottom about how I edited everything out, and about edit button abuse, which it totally was, and I apologise for that.

Anyway, I'm going to stop, in other words, pressing forward with this silly bitching and moaning of mine. DDR Project was fun, might as well leave it as a fond memory.

And AD, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm not a bad guy, so don't think that.

There is... and for some reason, I didn't post in there.

God knows why.

As a member of DDR3 and DDR4, I feel obligated to create these new banners to give potential DDR5ers more perspective on what they're getting into.

Good point, and well made... But I think if the deadline gets set a bit faurther away from the con date, people can have their "HOLY SHIT THE DEADLINE IS COMING MUYST FINISH NOW!" panic attacks early.. and then if their vids are late, it won't matter as much. PLUS it'll give backup editors more time.

It's just a matter of timing, in my opinion. And dedication by the editors... which I was actually lacking in DDR4, and feel really bad about now, when looking back... Especially when I think that becuase of all the problems and BS and stress, DDR5 was cancelled.

The problem is is that if you DO do a DDR5, people are going to expect it at AWA11 (or 12, or whatever). It's a tradition that's hard to break.

Just call it the DDR Special Edition. That oughta clear things up.
