OtakuVideo.com and Cons

I'm having an issue and now it's starting to worry me. I uploaded my my Noir Raider video for the AWA Expo contest via Otaku Video, it's been a week and it's still listed as 'New Submission...Not Checked Yet' but the contest closes in a week, I'm afraid that I'll get left out of the contest. :\

I sent an pair of emails but recived no response, now I'm just really worried.

Is anyone else having the same issue, or is the moderation there just slow?

Moderation is slow. They have more than 500 vids listed there. Takes time to check each one out. But if you've uploaded it on FTP I don't see why you wouldn't make it in the contest.

It took them about 3 weeks for my AWA-PRO video to be checked =].

Since they have to personaly check every video (I think?) then yeah, it would be rather slow with lives and jobs that I'm rather sure they have.

No fret though, it'll be done, I've yet to hear a complaint about them.

I'm pretty sure as long as you input it into the ftp and enter it into the contest before the duedate, your ok. It doesn't actually need to be checked by then. just needs to be there and if there is a problem and there is time left, you can usually upload a new/fixed copy.

forgot to answer that one >.>

you can see if the video is ok by checking the video info itself by click the video name at the main screen when you log in. and selecting "edit" next to the "video information" title. Then on the right, click "upload info" and on the left it should say:

"Video Status: Done
The video is fully tested and works

no noticable problems on playback."

I don't think he'll even start looking at the entries until after the deadline...after all, people can edit their submissions and reupload videos up until that date.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Yeah, and if there is a problem with the upload he'll likely contact you and ask you to upload it again.

And so it begins, woo woo, good timing too, cause my classes start next week and I guarentee you that I will watch every single one of them in one sitting when I get it. though my return mailer was just first class and not priority, so I don't know when I'll be getting it for certain.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....
