A master list of cons

Postby Songbird21 » Fri Aug 06, 2004 1:06 pm

Hi guys,

For some reason, probobly boredom, I've decided to make a clickable map with all US cons that have AMV contests. The map will be located on my site.

I have a small list, but I want to include as many as possible. These are the ones I have so far:

Otakon
Anime Weekend Atlanta
Anime Boston
Anime Next
Animazement
Anime USA
AnimeFest
AnimeIowa
FanimeCon
MetroCon
Sakuracon

When adding a con for this list keep these things in mind:

1. It MUST host a yearly AMV contest
2. It MUST be a primarily anime con (In other words combination sci-fi/anime cons won't go on the map)
3. It MUST be an actual con and not an online contest.

Only lists conventions with AMV contests, but this is a good place to start.

http://www.fansview.com/consked.htm also has a list of almost every con in the world, but you'll have to winnow out the gaming/scifi cons and the anime cons without contests.

Amecon, Leicster UK

Maybe should be on there? It's gonna be a yearly anime con, about 1000 members this year I think (or maybe a few less), and it's got an amv competition this year.
