And for those of you who are on the contest side, do you submit to A-Kon any more or less because it's fairly poorly run?

Well, since it's the end of Winter, and we're all getting tired of it by that point, and because, more importantly, Ushicon broke me up with my girlfriend (well, not REALLY, but it was when we realized it wasn't going to work. 14 months of my life... wasted... *sniff*), your 2005 Theme is... HATE.

The first is the Hentai Music Video contest. It will, of course, be run during the Hentaifest. While I've not seen any child porn hentai (and never want to), and we realize the Supreme Court has ruled it legal, don't submit any to the Con. If you do, we'll accept the video, tell you we're showing it, and then have Security kick the ever lovin' crap out of you near the dumpsters. Also, if you're not 18 and make a submission for this contest, do realize that you will NOT get to see the contest, or the Hentaifest in general. The judging on this one will be a bit odd. We at Ushicon, being fat pale nerds, have been to a number of Hentaifests in our day. As such, we know that giving any sort of paper product to people in a Hentaifest only encourages deviant behavior. So for the "Best Video" award, the judging will be done by audience applause. There will also be a Judges' Artistic Award. So if you've been channelling the spirit of Stanley Kubrick and/or Linda Lovelace, and you've not found an outlet for that yet, please submit something.
