that Eva/Bebop video was fantastic. that personally was my vote for Best In Show.

a few months back, Vic sent me his video and i proclaimed he had a winner on his hands...of course his modesty wouldnt allow him to believe it. congrats on that man, great work.

the Eva video set to Numb by Linkin Park of course got alot of pop for two reasons...1) Eva...2) Linkin Park. combine them both with good editing and of course you have yourself a potentional contest winner because the crowd would be able to understand everything about the video and be like "omg." im not taking points against it, but i seriously enjoyed the Ayashi no Ceres video that went against this one. but in the end, the audience decided on the best video.

i am still just happy to represent CT in the contest thou =)
did my job, now i just need to do it better next year.

Yeah...that really was a great video. Just the fact that it came from a Dreamcast "dating sim" makes me love it. Overall a wonderful contest. I wish my video had made it but after seeing the competition, I now know that I need ALOT of work *_*!

so i would have to say, one person thought it was bad ass! :)

Hehe, hear that rubyeye? ^^ our Princess Nine videos gain the series more popularity, that's what it deserves :)
Thank you Matt (whoever you are ;) )
(now if only i could use AE like some people can...or else my entry would have had more flair in the contest) ^_^;

I didn't use AE, all premiere and photoshop which I currently prefer because I know more about them :P

Congrats on all the winners. THe only ones I voted on that won was the Kannon video, Which did remind me of a MAD, but impressed me nonetheless, and AMV hell. I also loved German 101 and Evabeebop, with Disney in DWCHang comming in close behind. I ended up just choosing the one I laughed the most on, which was AMV hell.

I realy expected Alluminum studios to steel the win in the Serious category.... Until I heard the Audience reaction to the Eva video. I am surprised no one realy seemed to like it as much. My sister said it felt like just moving images rather than a "video" so perhaps thats what alot of people were thinking (that don;t know how the editing process works) she thought it didn't take alot of skill to make. She liked the Eva one aswell, though She did say she liked mine (Angel Redemption) better, but I think there might have been some bias in that, even if not intentional ;p I was a little disapointed in the Trigun one, I thought it could have been done better. Mostly because I had the same idea for a while, and the creator just didn't live up to it completely to the vision I had in my head. I felt it could have been stronger.

For Romance I voted on Vlad's video, though I was realy torn between Vlad and Daniel's video, I liked both just about the same. So Daniel winning doesn't bother me. THe FFX one, though done well, felt more like it fit in dance/upbeat, It didn't give me as much of a warm fuzzy feeling inside as the others.

For action I voted on the Shamanic princess one, though I did also like the X one mostly because of the power of the song with the anime.

Anyway, I felt just about 90% of the videos this year was very good and mostly agree with the awards. Congrats on all the winners.

One of these days I'm gonna submit a video to otakon that doesn't get me into trouble with someone about category.. :) Honestly.. I didn't know what category it should be in because I didn't think it fit any of them.. So I left it to the contest. My last video at Otakon got moved it to Action/Upbeat by the contest and offended maboroshi .. Will I never learn...

And

Congratulations to all the Winners and to the Participants..
I only wish I could have been there ... (Damn my job responsibilities)

BTW: I'm sure no one is interested.. But I'm originally from NJ too.. In fact I 'm temporarily back in Jersey on my latest gig ..

What's with the segregation? I'd say Central Jersey made a pretty good showing as well, what with <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=44708">first place in Upbeat/Rhythm</a> and <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=36860">second place in Humorous/Satirical</a>. 8)

(At least. If any of the other winners are also North/Central Jerseyans, I apologize for not knowing it.)

Could have been stronger? Howso? I've actually gotten that response by a few people but nobody ever tells me "how" .

I really hope people don't say "You need more effects and faster cuts" because thats what I was stearing away from. I didn't want people to be star-struck by purdy effects. I wanted them all to catch the meaning , or "Theme", of what I was trying to portray.

However, if its the certain scenes I was showing, which better scenes should I use? I was pretty confident that the scenes I used portrayed my theme of conflict with Vash.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm trying to figure out why I get this response every time but nobody answers why. ::begs:: I wanna become a better creator, Help me AMV.org-won-kenobi, yer my only hope......

ANTDrakko your video was fine. Anyway I gave you that extended op and like you said it was helpful. Look for Bakadeshi and Shinji13 to help you out. Anyway I saw my amv, Fighting For Your Love, in the finals, and I was completly shocked when the whole crowd started to clap along with it. I couldn't make out if it was instinct of the audience or if they were actually into the video that much. It was a great feeling when they were clapping along but also a little embarrassing too because I wasn't expecting it. Anyway I know I didn't finish in the top 3 but if anyone who saw my amv at Otakon would like to give me some feedback on it that would be great. If there is a video you want me to look at let me know.
