No, I didn't. I wouldn't be surprised if I just missed it though, because Urasawa loves nothing more than bringing characters back -- 20th Century Boys does this on a huge scale, and I'm not sure there's a speaking character in Yawara that does *not* become part of the recurring cast.

I'll have to read it over again....not like I really needed the excuse. 8)

Yea, I'll be coming back to this one again, too. I got glued to the thing, couldn't stop reading it until it was all over... in 4 days... so I'll need a bit of a break first.

Well, I guess I should hope either for some friends with bandwith or the anime soc actually showing it at my new university this fall. It really will make an amazing anime; I mean, it builds an awesome amount of tension and characterization in the manga, but with moving visuals and sound, it can only get better.

So I take it my recommendation was well placed? ;)

Indeed. I still can't believe I actually went to see it just because David Sylvian does the ending theme... It's a cherry to top the cake, sure, but it's pretty embarassing as the primary reason for checking out such an amazing series

Man, I really, really need to check out the manga sometime. It's right up my street.

Do that

Well, or you might just want to wait for the rest of the anime to come out - they seem to be pretty much identical as far as the story, so, I don't know - it's a matter of how (and how fast) you want to have the entire story delivered...

So I take it they're past the Turkish Quarter part now?

I think I read somewhere that the Monster show is supposed to have 78 episodes total. That could potentially be quite a long wait.

Yes, I can confirm that Monster is planned at seventy-eight episodes. But the tension and pace is such that I'm sure it won't be too bad a wait 8)

Damn, my brother was supposed to get me the latest batch of episodes, but couldn't :|

They're up to 18 now I think - can anyone tip me off as far as what the latest thing that happened was?

(just curious how far they got, it's almost 1/4 through the show now, so they must be somewhere on Vol. 4 of the manga already)

I just finished episode 23, and it was the one where she confessed to seeing you know who.
