Ani-Magic 2004 AMV Contest (Deadline less than 2 months)

Postby Skrasis » Thu Jul 15, 2004 11:46 pm

The final submission deadline is September 10th which is little less than 2 months away. We are also doing FTP Submissions this year in addition to regular mail in submissions. We have only recieved 3 submissions so far. Interestingly enough under participation in the AMV search there are 9 people listed. We have only recieved 3. If you submitted a video but have not yet recieved a confirmation email please email me at either amvcontest@ani-magic.net or phillong26@msn.com

The website for the rules and submission form are http://www.lcproductions.net/animagic.htm and the convention website is http://www.ani-magic.net I need your help to make this contest kick a$$ so don't submit a week before deadline and risk it not getting in. We are letting people submit up to 3 videos!

If submitted as a group aka multiple editors I think it could be worked out.

*Hatter considers entering "Feeling This"...*

Hrmmm...just out of curiosity, do you think it's better to only submit your AMVs to a con contest if you plan on showing up? I dunno, on the one hand it might be fun to do it, but on the other hand if I'm not there to like "see the audiences reaction"...would I be missing out on something really grand?

It doesn't matter whether you show up or not. You got something you know that doesn't suck ass then turn it in. And if you wanna turn in something for the sake of turning in something; don't waste our goddamn time. 8)

Would something like "Feeling This" be a waste of time? If so maybe I should wait until I finish my Chrno Crusade AMV.

You can find "Feeling This" here if you haven't seen/heard of it:
www.backwater-productions.net

I don't list videos on the .org anymore.

It really doesnt make that much difference if you show up or not. From my creator stand point i find it a little nerv recking to see your video playing and watching the audience's reactions but at the same time you get to see your video played on a huge screen in front of hundres of people! On a technical point if your are a creator and do not attend you wont be able to vote in the creator ballots which is different from the audience vote.

And it is only about a month and a week left for ftp submissions and a month and 2 weeks for regular mail in submission. I will make another post reminding people in a week or so.
