Oops. Hmm, I guess 1/2 of what I called "Action" is probably upbeat/rhythm, based on the few videos I saw I'd guess the 2nd half is upbeat/rhythm ....

From Aluminum Studios to Nanashi or maybe Orange Kitten Productions is Drama/Serious. thefinalact.net to Vicbond007 is action, and Dark Side Productions on is comedit I think based on what I know of what category people were entering and where their names are on the list.

What! I'm in the Romance Catagory? :shock:

I think something went wrong with the forum, or maybe we both posted at the same time and it combined the two. I dunno... but the first two parts are mine up until good luck to all ^_^;;

Oh, and for clarafication, Anneke from Baka Deshi Productions is the one with the video in the contest. I entered under Daniel "Fungie" McCarthy.

Romantic/ Sentimental. First off I would like to say that it gives me great honor to be in the finals. And it is a great a honor to be in the finals with Vlad and Dwchang. Both of which are very well known creators. Out of all the contest I've been in this one will more than most likely mean the most to me. The only thing left is for the contest to actually start and then have the memories last.

I can't wait. Best of luck to all. Vlad and Dwchang if you can pm me so we can meet up sometime during the con. Because Thursday night I work. So I would like to arrange a get together with some of the creators. Or if you both are going to one during the con. Could you tell me when and where it would be. I would like to meet you all there.

Darn. Of the four videos I predicted (and was hoping) would close out the contest, none of them are in that last spot. Oh well...

(To really say what's on my mind at this point would be seen as talking trash about one particular video (though I don't think its creator follows these fora), so I won't do it.)

Well, normally everyone gets together for the big contest viewing. I think it was the Friday night one we did last year.
If you just keep an eye for Otakon related stuff in the Convention Forum here, I'm sure you'll pickup on what is going on before the con starts, then one there you will run into enough people.

Otakon is a great contest to watch if it's your first. Very insperational in my opinion. I remember back in 2001 when I saw my first AMV at Otakon on that big screen. Then I was told normal people made them, it blew my mind. I would go more into detail about it, but I don't want anyone thinking I'm some sentimental fool. Let's just say that Otakon's AMV contest is very special to me.

The schedule is posted on Otakons website, but to save you some trouble...
Friday: Video 1, Noon-3pm; Main events, 9pm-midnight
Saturday: Video 1, Noon-3pm

The Friday9pm one, it the BIG one.
