I've just got back from Animethon 11... This year over 2500 fans attended the event and the Anime Music Video contest even had to have an overflow room to handle the audiance size... As programming Director, the event kept me very busy. All entires were also played on sunday to a almost full theatre room... Edmonton really does like AMVs :D

The contest run fairly smooth with no segnificant technical issues mus to the enjoyment of fans here!

Best Drama/Romance
Tsumibito no kashou by Tyler to Full Metal Alchemist

Runner-up: Here Comes the Sun by Daniel Chang to Various Ghibli

Best Action/Adventure
Shounen Bushidou by Hito to Various

Runner-up: Kill Spike by Tyler to Cowboy Bebop - The Movie

Best Comedy
Naruto’s United States of Whatever by MindWarp Entertainment to Naruto

Runner-up: Disney in D(wchang) Minor by Dark Side Productions to Naruto

Well, it look like Shonen bushido had a great impact, I didn't expect less from it ;)

wow, my shounen bushidou vid get so much good feedback.I was saying a friend this week end, it would be an honor to wina prize at "Master Vlad"'s (Transcending Love is one of my favorite vid so forcefully you're a master for me ;)) contest at animethon. So i can say it now, it's an honor, i'm really glad :) :) :).

congratulations to the other participants. i've downloaded some of your videos, they were great too, this was a great contest.

:shock: .. I don't know what to say... But you video was really well done and I was trully amazed by it... all the winners had trully amazing stuff...

The audience loved the contest and it's now one of Animethon's Flagship events alnog side of cosplay...The whole Animethon committee loves AMVs and the contest and I may have to arrange a special screening just for them :D

Nothing to be Speechless about, I think of all the creators in Alberta, you deserved the award the most since I've seen your work over the years and it's gotten very good... I glad the Anime-Alberta judges though so too :D
