DVD Drive, or Video Capture?

Postby Sir Enji » Sat Jul 17, 2004 3:51 pm

which is the better way of getting video from anime DVDs? In other words, should I buy a DVD reader drive? Or should I buy a video capture card? What specific pieces of hardware do you recommend?

DVD is also the best quality.

Also using a DVD player hooked into a capture card might not work due to the copy protection on the disc. So you'd doublely screw yourself over getting a capture card.

DVD Player + Video capture will often result in problems from the copyprotection (Macrovision) And gets you dramaticly less quality.

DVD Ripping is ideal, yes.
