Good luck with Delirium at CN Anime, Anamorphic. I don't think I'll be attending CN Anime though ($$$$). Still, best of luck.

To be accurate, they'll take DVD+/-R in addition to CDs (RW is ok, too).
But no authored discs. Data discs only.
And no M2V+WAV files.

I delivered my CD-R in person but I specified it was
"exhibition-only" so I doubt very very much it'll be shown
(that would probably be the case even if I submitted it
competitively). Still, maybe somehow, somewhere, it'll
be shown during a bathroom break at some anime show
(which is how I got into AMV-making in the first place :)

Yea, I'm unlikely to go there, also :( (But eh... I'm trying to get to both AN and CNAE come next year, so not all is lost for me)

However, I might enter. Two options here: a) I sit down and make something entirely new in the next couple of weeks, which is possible but unlikely, or b) I make an ass of myself and send in something I made previously

Anyway, we'll see soon enough. Good luck with your entry though.

Does anyone know if CNanime allows title screens on the videos or if they want them without because they do their own title cards for each video?

Hmm, I believe in previous contests that was the case - they had their own little titles for videos, and specifically stated not to include bumpers (at least from what I remember).

This year though, the contest is being run by different people than previous years, so who knows. I'd go with no bumpers just to be safe, myself...

Oh yea, aluminum - you didn't enter last year, did you? There was quite a buzz among people waiting in line to get in, who were discussing AMV, when it was rumored you were planning to enter something then (apparently, everyone unanimously decided you were the God of AMV)

Thanks for the huge compliment, but I don't know about being called "God of AMV."

I was kind of quiet last year, but I have a new video that I sent to Otakon and am sending to CNanime. When I heard Yoshitashi Abe was a guest I had to send it (It's NieA Under 7.) I hope everyone will like it!

Alright, great, hope I can make it there to see :)

Hmm, the date is August 15, so I'd say I got another week at most. If I finish my current AMV within that term, I'll enter also.

There's also a better chance now that I'll actually make it to the con...

I hope I do see you there, Otohiko! And good luck with the video progress. I need to get mine onto CD and sent out.

I guess this will be my first contest ever...

Since I'm out of town until after the deadline I pretty much had to spend all of Friday working on my video to send it off in time. :( Yay for trying mpeg-2 for the first time ever while trying to meet a close deadline. ;)

If I can get to Toronto for the convention I'm looking forward to seeing everybody else's AMVs. :D
