I know this guy who use to hook people up with a large AMV CD collection he had :P Seriously, that would be something to deal with at a later stage if things lean toward the pizza party but there is definitely potential for something to happen.

This gets us a room that seats 100 people in round tables of 10 at the Cobb Galleria (the convention center connected to the con hotel), a pizza buffet, and possibly a LCD projector and sound system to plug a laptop into and play AMVs in the background.
I'm all up for that one!! :D

We (Studio Gaijin) will be, hopefully including at least one new video and fixing any problems reported from the first discs. So anyone who got them, please let us know if there's anything you think we should improve/fix or if you have any other suggestions for the next batch! :)

D'oh...I wish we could edit these posts, 'cause I forgot to include our 2 votes for the Pizza Party option (I'm pretty sure our third member would agree too, and I'm sure she wouldn't be against it), but there it is anyway...in a new post.

Put me down even though I can't be certain at the moment, I will be at AWA but I don't know if I will be there on Thursday, but I might as well give you a heads up.

Red Wolf:

I'm fine with either the pizza party option (pro: no transportation snafus) or the D&B option (never been to a D&B, and they have all those games :P )

I agree

I will be at AWA this year for the first time.

But I am almost 100% sure to be there. Hopefully I will be bringing studio member AisuzuZwei with me.

There is a 50% chance i will be driving myself. However i might greyhound up from florida. The only reason i might do that, is that gas prices are a bitch when having to put Premium in the Z.

Oh well, I cant wait.

Red Wolf wrote:I need to ask a new question but keep posting if you are planning on coming to dinner. These numbers are very preliminary but I want to get a sense of where I should put my focus. Which would you be willing to do given the details below? You can answer for a specific one, both, or none.

Pizza Party - $35 per head
This gets us a room that seats 100 people in round tables of 10 at the Cobb Galleria (the convention center connected to the con hotel), a pizza buffet, and possibly a LCD projector and sound system to plug a laptop into and play AMVs in the background.

Dave & Buster's - $40 per head
This gets us a private room with billiard and shuffleboard tables for two hours, a buffet dinner, access to the midway (cost of video games is additional and will be up to each individual) and bus transportation between the con hotel and D&B.

Wait a minute $35 pizza? I didn't see that last night. Seems a bit expensive to me, but I guess that's what it takes since we're "renting out" a place. *shrug*.

Pizza Party sounds good. Since SnhKnives didn't say it, I'll be there. I'm driving up from Florida.

That $35 covers the room, pizza buffet, and the A/V equipment. I don't have any final numbers but the break down would something like this:

~$30 per person for the buffet (that is my own estimate based on their normal prices, they are going to do a custom pizza buffet just for us so I'm waiting for the final quote). That's about the standard price at any nice hotel or convention center but we get the advantage of not being stuck with the same meal for everyone. D&B food is a bit cheaper (close to $20 per person). No place will rent us out the room and then allow us to bring in our own good.

The room will cost between $375 and $475 depending on size. That being said they have a weird rental offset when you buy food so if we get 50 people or more the room will end up being free.

A/V equipment breaks down to between $2 and $6 per person depending on whether I need to rent the projector or I can get one elsewhere.

Obviously Carrabba's would be a bit cheaper for everyone but I think the pizza party gives us everything we are looking for at the best price right now.
