THE GREAT NOOB TOURNY OF 2004

This forum is for the announcement and discussion of anime music video contests.

I would highly recommend having only 1 anime dvd of the winner's choice as the prize. It's alot cheaper and the shipping (now with the cheap usps media mail thing) wouldn't be too bad.

Good question. Mostly that means if your song is loaded with lyrics that contain a good deal of profanity Then yeah that could be considered explicit and the video could be disqualified.

This does not mean if the song has a curse slipped in that it will be disqualified. But let's say you chose the song "My back, my neck, my sack" by Too Short or "Put it in My Mouth" by Akineyle. Yeah that might be cause for too many explicit lyrics.

However thats not my call, that call is based strictly upon the decision of the judges. So if you have a song with a curse in it it should be okay. However if you have a song with a lot of curses in it, it could potential be a problem.

Hope that answers any questions and now I'm off again

Later.

also there is an update posted on www.jpproductiononline.cjb.net concerning submissions.

Basically the decision has been that if 20 vids are entered and accepted then thats going to be the cut off. No more then that. This comes from a point raised by a judge who didn't want to sit through fifty videos.

The cutoff is at 20. It does not matter if this is before the July 23, 2004 deadline. If the submissions total up to twenty, the submissions will be closed and then you just need to wait for the judging to start.

Noob / Freshman contest

Postby kitsunebeolnet » Sat Jun 05, 2004 6:56 pm

Roughly how many vids are entered at this point? I'm entered already so I'm not worried about the cutoff. I'm just curious what kind of demand has there been? (When I entered it looked like there was about 10 entries at that point.)

Another good question. So far there are fifteen. Every day it seems that one or two people enter. This is good but judges have been like "does that mean we have to watch fifty vids....please cut it off at 20." and we have done what some of the judges have asked.

As soon as the cut off is reached people on the org will be notified and all entries will recieve an email from me notifying them of official entry into the tourny.

In addition, a posting will be made on www.jpproductionsonline.cjb.net informing people that the cutoff has been reached.

Here my entry. It's not hentai, but there is a bunch of fanservice (mainly panty shots). I hope that won't be a problem.

I said this while watching Pirate's of the Caribbean: That guy looks familiar... Ben Franklin! That's who he reminds me of. I'm not sure that's his name, you know who I mean. The guy who discovered lightning... uh, I mean electricity.

Thats all well and good but please make your entry on www.jpproductionsonline.cjb.net and then click the link for the Bitching Station. There you will find a special submissions post, post your entry on there so the other organizers can see it and let you in.

Thanks

And now I'm off!
