Hi, as you can see I'm new here and I've submitted my music video which covers Naruto anime. I believe it's a really good video, and I would want you people to download it and review it.

One thing though, it's not hosted on a site for direct download...it's on an anime site which provides links to files on a program called Ares (http://www.softgap.com)

As soon as you click on the link and have the program opened the download will start and you will get the video at good speed. Ares is awesome, that's why I'm using it to distribute the video which has a good amount of sources already.

Please check it out, and rate it on the site..

The site where the video could be found is http://www.anime-ares.uni.cc under the music video section and it's called:
The Rasmus - In the Shadows :)

It's up on this site so please review it...once you get it, thanks!

I host my site at freewebs.com. So far, all I can say is that it is very slow on my computer and I don't know wether that is due to my computer or the site. I chose them mainly because they have no file size limit. My site is

www.freewebs.com/neyuki/

Look at it and judge for yourself. What works depends on what you want, look at the features of a free provider and see if it has enough bandwidth, space and so on.

www.doteasy.com
you pay for a domain name ($25 US) but the hosting is free, no banners, the free service gives you 1gb monthly transfers and 20mb of space...so its no good for AMVs, but its still decent for any website kinda peeps out there.

To anyone who has what they think of as a "Great Video",

I would be willing to host your video for free with unlimited bandwith if it is one of my "Top 10 Favorites". Once on it is garenteed on my server for at least 45 days. This is just a recent idea, but if you need you vid hosted and are short on cash, the first 8 requests automaticly make it (i only have 2 vids on the server)

If youre intrested, just reply here or you can e-mail me at psykotic_pony@apocalypticwinter.com

http://www.informationhigh.com/upload/

There's a 100mb size limit, despite what it may tell you.
I tried to make it so you don't have to register to upload files.
If you have any problems or it gives you errors please email me:
informationhigh@elp.rr.com

I only ask that you upload your video's, I don't want it to be flooded with ripped mp3's or dvd's.

You are a very nice person. Thank you, I shall take advantage of your offer.

Also, where's the "edit post" button?

Meh...but I suppose not being able to edit my post will slowly bring my post count up more quickly.

I also wanted to ask, for future reference, if your website allows direct linking.

Yes, you can direct link to any file on my server. Pretty much, if you copy the location, it gives you some kooky long link like: http://www.informationhigh.com/upload/i ... 1a875d7d92

But it will still work. The best thing to do if you don't want such an ugly link is to "hide" it. Like:

Code: Select all

Mizuho
Will show up nice and tidy like this: Mizuho
in phpBB

or with some HTML action:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://www.informationhigh.com/upload/index.php?action=downloadfile&filename=gal-PTv1-14-640.jpg&directory=&PHPSESSID=cd392825745a625f507c2c1a875d7d92&PHPSESSID=cd392825745a625f507c2c1a875d7d92">Mizuho</a>
Which also gives the same output as the phpBB code.

First of all, here's a host I personally kinda like:
http://www.web1000.com
I put a website there. it's really nice. Though at first it had some prob with downloading over 5mb files but it seemed to misteriously dissappear.

Anyway, since I don't have any AMVs YET... I was wondering about the option of having one local here... how does that work and what are the pros and cons of that?
