How do I upload clips from a DVD??

Postby Kaiba57 » Sun Mar 21, 2004 4:01 pm

Is it possible to upload clips from a DVD without buying a DVD Drive on my computer? Could I use my PS2 or a regular DVD player and just use a Usb cord? or is there any other way to do it that is the cheapest?

Thanks in advance for your help :D

I suppose if you have a video card on your computer with video input jacks, you could hook your PS2 or DVD player up to that, and capture the footage that way. Other than that, I don't know.

Other than the quality issues, you might want to realize that if you use a capture card you'll have to capture at 1:1 speed. So putting in 10 hours worth of video will take.... 10 hours (menu time not included)
Ripping DVDs usually lets you go a pretty hight speed (mine is about 7x).

Luck.

Seriously, just spend $30 and get a DVD-ROM drive.

Here's a link and everything.
