Weird problem with new Premiere AviSynth plugins

Postby y2kwizard » Wed Aug 28, 2002 3:29 pm

Hello. I'm having an odd problem w/ the new Premiere AviSynth plugins.

When I use the old plugins, everything works fine, with the exception of course of the black screen problem.

However, when I try to use the new plugins, I getan error message at the startup of Premeire: It is a 69c: premiere.exe - Unable To Locate Component error saying "This application has failed to start because MSVCR70.dll was not found" and that reinstalling the application may help.

If I replace the new plugins with the old plugins, everything will work fine again. What gives?

I believe MSVR70.dll is one of the MFC dlls. You need to download them from Microsoft's site. I'm not exactly sure where you download them, but look for something along the lines of Visual C++ Runtime or MFC Runtime.

Yeah, i think we're going to encode with VC6 instead of VC7 for greater compatibility from now on.

Also, the premiere 5 bug is fixed - we think.
