Hm? I keep HuffYUV versions of all my videos. (Though some older ones are lower quality)

That's categorically untrue, actually. I'd think most editors keep high-quality backups of all their videos just in case they want to do re-encodes or something. I know I burn project files as well as HuffYUVs, in addition to keeping MPEG2s on-hand.

I'm also with Doki on this. I still have a HUFYUV file of my VCA nominated videos on my AMV HD. At the same time, I don't keep them there the whole time. I'm actually probably going to delete them soon for newer projects (I mean they are ~1 year old ;))

Even without HUFYUV files though, I'm sure most of us have MPEG-2's archived, so a DVD could be made. I know of at least one person who has used my videos in a DVD.

BTW nice new icon Tim ;).

Actually, the one video that did not win anything which I thought deserved atleast something was "Playground Love". I do understand why it didn't win since it's not something that's all that flashy or fast paced, but I was hoping it would of taken atleast "Best Artistic" or something along those lines... a shame really...

One of the most beautiful vids I've downloaded in the past year. Definately hasn't gotten as much acclaim as it deserves.

Comments like that make me feel bad for poor Koop. He gets a lot of crap for that video (as in, people saying it was made to shut other creators down or is just "fancy effects") and it's entirely undeserved.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

the one thing i do not give is kopp crap, why ppl do that i will never know but i hate newbs who dont even watch all the videos

cuase if they did it would be pretty obvious that playground love is more artistic (no offence koopy :-*) then euphoria. the style in which it was presented versus the way euphoria is.....yeah. but yeah koop deserved voty but artistic and drama is wat i didnt like :?

Well, it's currently tied for #1 spot on the Top 10% list with Euphoria... :)

I dunno, i watched both, and I found euphoria a bit more artistic. Art is entirely subjective, so there's no clear proof that one's more artistic than the other.

I voted Storytelling for best artistic.
