AIST MovieXone can export AVIs. I don't think it can export MPEGs, but you can use TMPGenc to convert AVIs to MPEGs.

Unfortunatly they made a new version.

Note: Per request of the developer, this file is no longer available.

You can find the freeware version here, along with a lot of other open source files.

www.eo-video.com
but it's not gonna make the video quality any prettier.
it's also a 30-day free trial.

You have to first tell us :

- From where did you got the footage?
- Wich edit program you're using ?
- When your vid is getting blurry ? DVDs ripping / Editing / Compressing process?

then somebody can try to help
Nothing usefull here .

If the footage is blurry to begin with (and downloaded footage tends to be), then there's no way it will be any better after you run it through wmm. Your best bet is to rip the footage yourself and keep your bitrate high when you produce the vid in wmm. But you can also try cleaning up the source footage in VirtualDub - again, though, if it's blurry to begin with it will just get even more blurry after you recompress it.

General compression rule for wmm - to get better quality, raise the bitrate - in wmm 2.0 you'd pick the 'other' tab and 'high quality large' option for a good size wmv. If you're using wmm 1.0 then go to 'other' and choose NTSC avi format - then google to find a simple avi-to-mpg converter and the quality should be pretty good as long as the source footage isn't bad.

I don't know what sort of info you're looking for if it's to write a report, but a good program for PS1 games is PSxMC247 - do a google search or two and you'll find that, some sites also tell how to work it, but it's pretty self explanatory. As long as you have a cd-rom, you can use that program to get cg clips from a game disc. For PS2 games...you'd have to check the 'Software Help' section - do a search, I know it's been asked a few times over there so the threads should still be up if you look for them. ^_^;;

In that case, just read the guides:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/

They'll tell you most everything you need to know - particularly the 'All Things Audio and Video' guide. ^_^

Okay, for a list of programs frequently used, go down to the 'Software Help' section - there should be a bold 'sticky' thread telling various programs.

For new vids, go to the 'Member Main' page and on the bottom left click the 'search vids' link. Do a super search and choose 'by upload date' to get the newest ones. Since you're new you won't be able to download local vids (unless you donate) for 2 weeks. So you should probably limit your super search to 'downloadable' so you get the direct and indirect links.

As for the 'dumb questions' - not that they're dumb, just that they get asked a lot and people tend to get fussy about answering them more than twice. Next time use the 'search' button at the top of the forum and try looking up your questions (using key phrases) in the 'help' sections of the forum. You can usually find your own answers and not have to deal with short-tempered people. ^.~
