If you're broke, don't make videos. Videos cost time + money. I've been working on this one vid, it's took already 70 hours, and I haven't even done a lot of it, just about a minute and a half of footage out of 3 minutes 31 seconds. In short, if you can't afford to buy editing equipment/spend time on videos, then don't make them at all.

It's TokyoU15. Here's a suggestion, get a job! Also, you seem like the type that wants things laid out for them and you also seem like one that will not put any effort into making amv's.....if that's the case, then please, do us all a favor and don't make any at all.

ok tokyoU15...

im 14, the only place thats close enough for me to work at is royal farms, but they wont hire me because they sell beer and im not 21.

to you and NDW...

what if i think you suck at making videos? should you stop? i put a helluva lot of effort into making my videos, and they still turn out looking like crap because A)theyre watermarked B)i have to use footage from other videos because i don't have a DVD ROM, or a capture card. i tried D/Ling episodes, but that never works, something always goes wrong with the codecs or something. even so, i like my videos because I made them and they were hard...besides, why should it matter to anyone if i do videos, no one can see them unless they ask me since im not hosted or anything.

on top of all this, i still haven't gotten any serials for the program, nor did i expect to when i put this up...i figured this because not many people seem to use this software for editing...but anyway, woot.

If you don't have money for equipment, don't make videos at all. I don't have a fancy DV500 card for realtime editing, or a real good video card or a fast PC, but I make do with what I have. I have free time, a slow-ass PC and a DVD-ROM drive/DVDs. I make do with what I have. Never depend on downloaded source footage to get you anywhere, you need to come up with your own. Oh yes, and you've never seen my videos. You wouldn't even know where to get my videos, as I don't have my profile link in my sig. But even so, you can't get to my profile unless you search for it, but I don't think you can comprehend that. I'm 10, you're 14, go fuckin' figure.

Hell no, I KNOW i'm good at this. And it's not the equipment that makes me a good editor, though it does help. From the reviews i've gotten, the good outweighs the bad, so one more person not liking my videos is no big deal. This may sound very cocky and arrogant, but I'm tired of putting myself down all the time and saying I don't make good vids, FUCK that. I do make good vids! Why make something you don't like? Rather retarded to do that shit.

i put a helluva lot of effort into making my videos, and they still turn out looking like crap because A)theyre watermarked B)i have to use footage from other videos because i don't have a DVD ROM, or a capture card.

Word of advice, DO NOT USE FOOTAGE FROM OTHER VIDEOS! Creators of the video you took footage from usually DO NOT like that.

i tried D/Ling episodes, but that never works, something always goes wrong with the codecs or something. even so, i like my videos because I made them and they were hard...besides, why should it matter to anyone if i do videos, no one can see them unless they ask me since im not hosted or anything.

Using downloaded footage isn't a good idea, but if it is all you have, then you gotta make due. I use to use downloaded footage and they turned out decent. One of my videos "Memories" turned out very good and I used DivX source. It's not what you have it's how you use it man!

lets not resort to foul language (i win). i wasnt trying to insult you i was making a point, wolfie. i dont care if your 10, i was just saying why i dont have a job. i make videos because its fun and i like it and im getting better at it...i just dont want to use other peoples stuff anymore. about that, i really try to only use scenes directly from the show, not a clip someone edited together. thats why i tried using downloaded stuff, so i wouldnt accidentally steal someone elses work...anyway im done arguing...i just want to get rid of a watermark, jeez...

Buy the goddamn program, or better yet, just buy Premiere/DV500+ and be happy. The DV500+ and DV500+ DVD packages both come with Premiere 6.0. The orignal DV500 comes with Premiere 5.1. I'm not trying to flame you for admitting to using other peoples footage/downloaded footage. I'm flaming you for pirating software, and starting an arguement with a few regs here.

Chef, but the DVDs. That's the only way to get footage with no watermark, other than going into Photoshop and taking the watermark off of EVERY SINGLE frame. Support the anime industry and buy DVDs, then support Adobe and buy Premiere.

DVDs probably have nothing to do with this. It's very possible that the unregistered version of personalStudio places a watermark on rendered output.

Well then, he should download a trial copy of Premiere. Grant it, I pirated Premiere (Which I'm not afraid to admit), but I DO NOT want to be a Premiere pirate anymore, so that's why when christmas comes, my dad is going to hopefully be buying me a DV500+/DV500+ DVD. Then I can delete the installation of Premiere I have on my PC and get a non-pirated version. He can either download a trial version of Premiere, or go in Photoshop and edit out the watermark off of every single frame, then export every frame into bmp/gif/jpg and then re-animate them into an AVI/MPEG file.

i know im gonna get blasted for saying this, but thats an assload of work. i want to buy the program but i cant, which is why i want a serial number until i can. i have like 13 DVDs, which doesn't seem like a lot for some fans but its a lot for me to buy myself since i don't have a steady income...i dont want premiere, i like mine...i tried other things but i like this best. besides, all i hear is how premiere crashes a lot. plus, as to the suggestion for getting rid of the watermarks, i don't have photoshop either. and yeah, the trial version of personalStudio is where the watermarks come from, they blink on every other frame and theyre huge so i cant just black it out.

Premiere DOES NOT crash a lot, asswipe. The only time Premiere will crash is if you use DivX source. If you use XP and you try to export into ASF format from Premiere, SOME TIMES it will crash. Other times it won't. You can do many more things with Premiere than some piece of crap editing software. Hell, I bet Windows Movie Maker is better than that piece of crap editing software you use.

dude, have you even tried PersonalStudios? I have not, and therefore I can not judge its performance, but to say it sucks ass when you haven't even tried it is just as stupid as Chef's question.
