Need help with Premiere 6.1 (or whatever it's called)

Postby LongShot » Sat Aug 24, 2002 5:17 pm

Here my problem. At times I try to export my AMVs, it's gives me either a Run time error or a C++ problem. How do I fix this?

If you're using DivX source, that could cause it to crash.

If you're exporting to DivX, that could cause it to crash.

If you're using mp3 audio source, that could cause it to crash.

If you're trying to export mp3 audio, that could cause it to crash.

Any number of things could be causing it to crash, you need to post more specific info for anyone here to truly be able to offer help.

What's the error? What's the problem? Is an assert() being tripped? Is a shared library not being loaded correctly? Symbol conflict?

My advice, if you can spare the space, when you export in premiere, don't use any compression at all. Then use virtual dub to encode into divx or something.

My suggestion would be to either convert the DivX files into Uncompressed AVI or HuffYUV, then export from Premiere into HuffYUV. Saves about a gig of space if you use HuffYUV wrather than Uncompressed.

Well, yeah that would be good too. I personally don't trust premiere with exporting. I think premiere hates me and therefore I only use it to assemble the videos. I have plenty of space and I don't need to worry about it taking up my hard drive space. I would rather use FlaskMpeg to encode then premiere on any codec.
