Katsucon 10 (again)?

Postby Scintilla » Sun Nov 09, 2003 4:03 am

I keep on checking the Katsucon website for information about the AMV contest, but there's still nothing... and there's only 3 more months until the con. I figured this would be the best place to go to see if anyone knew anything about what's going on.

So does anyone know?

IIRC, last year the deadline was last week of December, and if it's the same guy as last year, make it easy on him and prepare you video for Mac Quicktime DV since everything was done through FCP.

ARGH. Now I need to figure out how to do that, if Premiere won't.

Is it a problem if the format I use to edit is AVI, but I want to export in Quicktime?

The way I did it was import the outputted avi into quicktime pro and just exported it as Quicktime DV. One note, it's going to look like ASS on a PC, this is normal. It looks fine when you put it on a Mac.

Reminder to get your entries in by January 9.

Woohoo! I finally finished my AMV entry for Katsucon. Mailed it today. I hope it will make the showing. I'm still editing my opening and closing credits, but since they don't want those in AMV contests, I sent what I had finished.

I mailed my video on the 26th and e-mailed them asking if they could please contact me when they received it (and correct my phone number), but I haven't heard back yet. Maybe the e-mail got screwed up again....

I mailed mine Priority Mail on the 23rd and haven't heard anything yet, either. They might not be sending confirmation mails yet.

I sent my entry off a while back and hadn't heard back. The coordinator is probably just waiting to receive all entries and then send out confirmation e-mails. Patience is a virtue people ^_~ Oh, is anyone who replied to here as entering actually going to the convention? I'd love to meet some fellow AMV creators at the con ^^
