you could download one, and simply edit the credits to say its yours . not only would it speed up the development cycle by about 50000x but you will also have fun geting a restraining order on the poor guy that made the amv so he doesnt torch your pet dog, again

Well I don't have any Capture Cards so I download the music and clips from the Internet and mix 'em up. For a free and a FREEZING program, get the Windows Movie Maker 2 :D

You don't need a capture card to rip DVD footage.

Id just get dvd drive and put it in there go to www.afterdawn.com and dl dvd2avi and smartripper then install first use smart ripper on dvd then use dvd2avi to turn it into avi or divx file. Then import it into windows movie maker if thats program using which since you seem very new im sure it is.Then just get a song and start making a video. All you gotta do is learn it from being in there...

No. Don't use DivX for your source clips if you can help it. Not only will you be losing quality, but DivX also tends to make editing programs crash more often. Use the HuffYUV codec, or MJPEG if you really don't have the space.

I feel like I've been overusing the phrases "Don't use DivX source" and "Don't use DVD2AVI to save AVI files" in the past month or so...
