Tainted Donuts

Postby Khen Rigzin » Wed Aug 21, 2002 4:06 am

I just watched the very famous amv: tainted donuts.
Im already over the OOOH MY GOD stage & down in the question stage

Like .... How did he accomplish to put spiku in some of the scenes of trigun. Most of the footage is moving. The blur out when he's sitting on a chair at a bar is fantastic. I know about masking... But this seems different.

Can someone enlighten me?

It's still masking: mask out one section of a clip, put in another section of another clip. The primary difference between Tainted Donuts and most other videos is the scale on which the effect is done, and how well it's executed.

You think this guy did that stuff with premiere?
Far not
I think he used "more" professional material.

Who's "spiku?"
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

And that doesn't make it masking?

There's more to this world than Premiere, obviously, but a mask is a mask is a mask.

From the video's info page:

"Tools used included Adobe premier (for editing), Adobe photoshop 5.1 LE (for adding and removing objects/people from scenes using alpha channel), and Adobe After Effects (for constructing computer displays, crude animations, and adding and removing objects/people from scenes using masking). "

(Of course, he misspelled "Premiere...")

There should be a comma after "nut."

:-D

An article is also required between "are" and "grammar", be it "a" or "the".

Not necessarily. If he was calling me the substance "nut" (use your imagination), then an article wouldn't be necessary.
