Anyone make the music for their AMVs?

Just curious if anyone has ever written a song and made an AMV for it. I plan on doing it sometime in the future. ^__^

I plan on doing at some point. I'm also pretty sure Xenodrake was writing a piano solo to do an AMV to too, but I don't know what became of it.

I've made some music, but I don't know if any of it would ever work for an AMV. The lyrics are usually to off-the-wall and random to really fit with anything.

I've thought about it, but one thing at a time...

I made the music for my new bumper with Acid Music - the full version is also the main menu music on my DVD, although all the other music pieces on the DVD are from other sources.

For those curious:
Video select page 1 - Silvertear - So Deep (Perfect Sphere Mix)
Video select page 2 - Quest - Shaken not Stirred
Video select page 3 - The Man With No Name - Teleportation
Audio page - Select music from Beatmania 5th Mix
Extras page - DE-SiRE - Healing Vision
Extras Video page - Toronto - Electric Toothbrush

I didn't write "Tenebral Presence" (the most recent Grimlock track; gonna get it uploaded to mp3.com in the near future) for use in an AMV, and such an endeavor was almost the farthest thing from my mind when I remixed it to make a b-side for the single, but there's still an entry in my to-do list to use a heavily edited version of the remix with Spriggan. It's real weird, dark, heavily electro-processed outer-sphere metal, almost like something out of Lovecraft.

Still, this is an exception rather than the rule; most of the music I use in my vids is obscure enough without me having to write and perform it myself.

Someone from JAC (an anime club at the University of Illinois) made a video where they played the music. I think it was the Star Wars theme though. He played it on acoustic guitar and did the entire video with computer graphics. It was pretty funny but not my kind of AMV.

Oy... a friend of mine who has a damn good heavy metal band is going to make a song that's a song for Trunks or Vegeta and he wants me to do a tribute video for them. About three years ago I thought it was cool but now... big mistake. I hope he doesn't actually go through with this 'cuz I never go back on my word :( .
