Anime USA AMV Contest/Forum

Hello fellow AMV creators, Anime USA is coming up in a few months, and the
deadline of September 7th for the AMV Contest is fast approaching. If you
are interested in submitting a video to the contest, check out the Anime
USA website(<a href="http://www.animeusa.org">http://www.animeusa.org</a>) for rules and submission
instructions. For those of you who may be too busy or lazy to go through
the trouble of burning a CD, running your video off to tape, or sending
it in the mail, there is a virtually effortless way for you to submit your
video to the contest. If your video is already on Waldo's FTP then I can
simply use the file located on the AMV Archive for your submission. Anime
USA will be having more than just an AMV Contest for those in the
community. The convention will also be hosting a series of AMV Forums
covering a wide range of subjects from technical to creative. If you have
any questions about the contest or forums, don't hesitate to ask.

if we enter and we are not there how do we win if its just a gift certificate or we cant win if we are not there

If you aren't there on Sunday, you would still be tops in whatever your category was, but you wouldn't be able to redeem the gift certificate. If you know you won't be able to attend on Sunday but a friend of yours is, you could include a note in your contest entry form instructing us to give the gift certificate to a specific person you indicate ahead of time in the event that you win. That way your friend could use the certificate and theoretically buy you something you might like.

That works... If I enter and am unable to attend sunday... I would just donate the certificate! 8)
