Still Frame

Does this go in software help?

Ok I need to make still frames easily in premiere for easy editing, just wondering is frame hold what I'm gonna have to use?

Anyways what is best way of doing this

Yea frame hold is the easiest way to do it. I always experience a bug with the frame hold though. If you apply an effect on the clip, then the frame hold just wont work. Other people have told me they dont experience this problem though, so i dunno.

I just read something that it may be that you have to rename the clip.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it just be easier to export the frame from premiere as a bitmap and reimport it and then use that? I mean that way the still can be optimised and you won't have any problems with frame hold or needing to rename the files.

Yeah but then its a picture and If I need to swap footage then all those little areas with the stills wont be there.

Frame Hold fo' lyfe! 8)

I never had a problem with Frame Hold actually.. It's a lot easier than exporting and re-importing the clip as a .bmp too. I don't have to rename any clips either. If you need any help with them I'll be glad to answer any questions.
